Nell doesn't like him. Matt's sure of that.

In truth, he wouldn't like him either, if he essentially cockblocked every bit of magic he tried to use.

... His metaphor is getting confusing.

In any case, Matt likes Nell well enough, given the whole 'continually trying to manipulate people' thing, and the way she looks at him like he's something stuck on the bottom of his shoe.

Which brings him to now. Matt has no idea how Nell got in his place, much less in his room. He should probably be more concerned, but it's 2am and he's only half awake. A fact also to blame for the way, once he spots her, Matt simply opens the blankets for her to get in.

"Well damn," he mumbles, sleep making his accent thicker. "At least come cuddle."

        HER MOTHER SORT OF ... DETESTS  the blossoms,  believes in each rumor,  that the redheaded family is perhaps the devil incarnate due to their hair color  -  as if the carrot haired boy next door was a diferent species entirely  -  and betty was always warned to stay away.  it'd been easy at first,  the two girls living such different lives,  the only aspects bringing them together is riverdale itself,  and cheryl sort of intimidated her.  not obviously !  just  ...  betty had thought it'd been a safer way to fly under the radar,  for being best friends with  veronica lodge  was attention grabbing enough.  except  ...  !  she cannot ignore cheryl blossom when in an empty room with her alone,  no ?   " ... hey, cheryl, "   betty comments,  can't really come up with something to say.  but she  HAS  to say something,  or else she'll feel as if she missed out on something.    " ... you enjoying this change in temperatures ? "

"i'll take good care of you. promise." chase's voice drops to a near whisper as his hand settles at the small of her back, guiding her toward his room. the sight of her standing there, drenched after someone had carelessly spilled a drink all over her, made a spark of anger settle into his gut. offering her a change of clothes had been the least he could do. once inside the room, he crosses to his dresser and rummages through a drawer before pulling out a t-shirt. he tosses it gently in her direction, a crooked smile tugging at his lips. "is that okay?" although now, chase worries that the fabric might just swallow her whole.

chase looks almost like a lost puppy the moment that tedi and moose step away, leaving chase standing in front of nell like an idiot. he's got a handful of pringles shoved into his mouth so he attempts to eat as quickly as he can before wiping his hand down the front of his jeans. chase holds it out for the other, an awkward smile gracing his features. "uh, hi. chase. um. i've heard a lot about you from tedi and moose."

he's  in  the  zone.     well,  kind  of.  if  the  zone  is  a  precipice  of  some  kind  of  long-winded  rant  that's  bubbling  inside  his  chest,  threatening  to  make  an  appearance  and  tumble  out  of  his  mouth,  then,  yeah,  he's  in  that.  the  light  glow  of  his  ipad  in  the  small,  shared  space  is  the  only  light  he  can  see.  fully  focused  until  there's  something  else;  larger,  brown  hair  and  completely  pushing  his  wikipedia  article  away  from  his  face  in  pursuit  of  something  else.  and  it's  not  entirely  unwelcome  (except  for  the  fact  that  he  can  feel  his  brain  melting  with  each  passing  second,  but  it  doesn't  stop  his  hand  from  reaching  the  back  of  tedi's  neck  to  hold  her  there  for  just  a  few  seconds.  yeah,  sure,  whatever  until  the  ipad  makes  some  kind  of  buzzing  noise  —  entirely  distracting  him  from  her  distracting  and  pulling  away  with  soft  panting  noises.  “whatever  happened  to  –  hi,  how  are  you?”  and  he  grins,  because  fenton  is  not  exactly  someone  who  knows  the  right  things  to  say  in  the  moment.  or  ever.  ignores  the  swelling  feeling  in  his  chest  in  favor  of  being  a  shithead,  as  per  usual.  “was  that  just  for  fun  or  are  you  happy  t'see  me?”

It's a full moon - they've gone to visit Tate's family, welcomed with open arms. Now, they stand in a small clearing in the woods, Tate with his arms around Tedi, and Lou bouncing around the perimeter. They're both in shorts, ready to be shucked in the moment of shift. Or maybe sacrificed.

"You know I'm going to take care of him." Tate murmurs - the first thing he does after they shift is scent Lou, so the rest of the pack (but more importantly, any strangers), know who he belongs to. Not that Tate ever lets the pup out of his sight.

Still, he knows that Tedi worries. He would be surprised if she didn’t.

Tate tilts her chin up and kisses her sweetly. Reassuringly. The shift is close, he can feel it buzzing through his skin, and surely Tedi can feel it in the kiss. He kisses her again, and little more deeply - pulling back with a smile at the resounding ew! that sounds from behinds them.

Their relationship had turned into mutual obsession devotion almost immediately - they spend most of their time at home, connected so intimately it's as though their soul may as well be one, but on this particular evening, Matt has taken Nell out for a candlelit dinner.

They're making their way back home (home? Matt's apartment), Nell wearing Matt's jacket over her shoulders, when it starts to rain. Nell shrieks, trying to tugging him along, but Matt just laughs. He curls his arm around Nell's waist, his other hand cupping her jaw as he kisses her hotly, deeply, passionately. Rain runs down their faces where they're connected, and eventually Matt pulls away, watching the way water drops off her eyelashes.

"I could kiss you forever, you know that?"
