“Love your neighbour as you love yourself.” - Mark 12:31
As a pastor’s kid, i often neglect the power of Jesus in my personal life. Most of the children like me is too overexposed to the Word of God. And i can attest that pastor’s kids are those who are most persuaded by sins. I remembered Abegail Mesa, when she said “Tayong mga anak ng pastor, tayo yung tinutukso ng kasalanan”. And she was and still definitely correct. Because of our overfamiliarity to the Love of the Saviour, we often forget His role to our lives. Because we are the ones whose always in the church, we often neglect the provision of the Lord. Yung kala ng iba tayo pa yung super naffeed ng Word, its both yes and no. Yes, everyday we listened. But no, not everyday we absorb its power.
That is why I appreciate the people around me that encourages and reopened my eyes. Most especially to my spiritual councilor, ate Kimiko. I want to be like her someday. There is no single day that you wouldn't hear the Lord from her. She is the perfect example of how we should be in this world, a salt and light, a hope and a future. And I thank God for her life. Thus, I encourage each and everyone, we can be either of the two. The seeking or the helping.
Seeking the Word or Helping to spread the Word. We are all in the process of greatness. I hope that everyone that is seeking will continue to seek and seek the Word of God, and i pray that God will touch their lives and be part of the ‘Helping’ to spread His Word. And also to those who are helping, i pray that your heart will forever be in abundance of His love and grace. And i hope that you wont forget to seek also.
Seeking and Helping is interconnected. You cannot help when you don’t seek for His wisdom. And you cannot seek if you don’t acknowledge that you need help.
