hii sorry for late reply, but it is a show that follows a preacher who accidentally got possessed by something powerfull that’s both pure evil and pure goodness, so the preacher (jesse) can now like tell ppl to do whatever or something?? idk but it’s pretty cool show!! and i watch it on couchtuner or download it but u can also watch it on amc if u r american!!

okay so like im not sure what you’ve already read but these are like, the big ones on tumblr rn, bolded are my 100% faves

The Foxhole Court: may not actually count as advanced gay lit because the main plot isn’t a romance and isn’t about a queer love story, but a lot of the mains are queer and the main romance (when it FINALLY GOES DOWN its crazy this is one of the best books to rack up anticipation for a couple) is queer. 

The Song of Achilles: gay Iliad fanfiction, very poetic

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe: okay this is kinda about it being hard to be gay but only for a small part and the characters themselves more than make up for it

Carry On: Y’all remember that book Fangirl and how the main character wrote gay fanfiction about fake harry potter? the author published the fanfiction. World building is done crazy well and the characters are all incredibly real. Takes place in a place that isn’t Hogwarts but doesn’t feel like a cheap knock off. One canon gay pairing (but lets be real Agatha/Penny was real)

Captive Prince: tbh i haven’t finished this series yet but it ranks up w/ tfc in anticipation. Vague fantasy medieval setting, excellent characters, but it’s a little (A LOT) explicit and theres some dubious consent issues im not too cool with

Six of Crows: the sequel to the Grisha trilogy. once again may not be advanced gay but has a queer couple and is generally excellent

Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda: friggin hilarious but im not done with it so i haven’t much to say

honorary mention to the Raven Cycle which is totally beginner gay but makes up for it because i love it
