Honestly, she was mostly curious about how Cupid was handling all of this. Things had changed pretty rapidly, after all. It wasn’t every day that the Crystal Gems came from Homeworld and back to Earth with three diamonds in tow.

“I almost can’t believe all of this really happened,” she admitted. Of course, the fact that Garnet had a brand new form was proof that it really had happened. “Tell me how you’re feelin’ about it all.”

     “   u-um – dating? no, we’re! we’re just friends! best friends!   ”   connie held up her hands, her cheeks burning furiously at the insinuation the gem had made. she ignored the way her stomach swooped at the mere thought of dating steven. it wasn’t that she didn’t like him ; she did! she really did, he was sweet and kind and funny and wonderful in so many ways. but she’d.. never dated anybody before. she was still figuring all of that out.

“ Wut?” She thinks to herself. The Diamond blinks straight forward for a moment, letting what the Sapphire say kick into her head. Before staring down at the gem. Raising a brow before smiling, giving an awkward chuckle. Covering her mouth to attempt to regain Diamond-like composure, her eyes glancing away.

❝ Haha…Ha. That’s so silly sounding! What a weird thing to say, Sapphire! ❞ Pink says, clearing her throat. Attempting to shrug off an obvious curiosity as to what the Sapphire means. She sounded like she had questions in the tone of her voice alone. ❝ I mean, really. They are… Interesting. Creatures. But…❞ She held off saying much else. Sapphires were rarely wrong, but that was definitely out there in terms of predictions.

as helga rambled on, a bright flush went into her face and her eyebrow furrowed. she made a big scene, trying to talk about how ridiculous such an idea was and how much she just loathed the idea.

but after a moment or two she cleared her throat and mumbled, “ ... how do you know ? is it .. for real ? ”
