All last night I was playing Spell Caster, an old Sega game that was my dad's in college. I was nearing the end, when all of a sudden: Not gonna lie, even though it's all antiquated, this still kinda freaked me out. However, it didn't freak me out as much as what came next. First, this chick popped up: Pretty sure it was supposed to say DEMON DISAPPEARS...GIRL IN ARMOR APPEARS. I don't think the demon said "DISAPPEARS" though it would be hilarious if that were the case. Anyways, I'm all "aww how cute, she's like a proto-sailor moon!" Then: She starts bleeding from her eyes!! You know, for kids! At this point I wet my combinations. I escaped and found the entrance to the final boss's lair, a rock, or as the game calls it, "ROCK SOMETHING" And then the final boss appeared... ...and once again I ruined the upholstery. Honestly I think it's creepy because the graphics are outdated. It's more primal or something. So I finally beat the game, and this text scrolled by: What a bummer ending. And that's not how you spell suffering. Oh 80's video games, with your haunting imagery and spelling/grammatical errors. Always endearing. Always weird.
