"You see, I don't have that problem.." Hel explained, wincing a little at the anger almost radiating from the woman's skin, "If I want to kill someone, I just will it. 'Swhy I didn't know it would still be functional."

"Madre." The word lingered like saltwater, brutal and unforgiving on her broken lips. The woman had been with her father since before even her birth and Hel had never been one to mind informal titles such as 'step-mother' or 'half' sibling. Family meant too much to her to make distinctions and variations. Like a small child hiding behind it's mother's skirts, the gýgr inched back then forth in precarious motions that eventually halved the distance between them.
