“i --------” there’s a crease to her brow. her words tapering off before ever having the chance to fully develop. if she thinks about it, she knows that there will always be some part of her that will grieve for the loss of her village ------- that her heart will always mourn for the lives of her family, friends, and comrades.
quietly, sango allows herself to ponder. listening to the soft pop and crackle of the party’s campfire, and despite the melancholy burning through her veins, she finds herself oddly placated. the wound to her heart not healed but tended. so, this is where she stays for a few minutes more. eyes caught against the low-lit embers and senses open to the world around them. content to just remain and watch over their sleeping friends while basking within the warmth that sweeps over her like that of waves cresting against a distant shore.
