I just gotta say, LOVE what you’re doing for the Sam flayed alive fans but I especially love your Leigh design. Shes so big cat coded to me. Curious though how she’d react to the remade Sam if you don’t mind me asking!

On-topic, though, Leigh is tricky since she’s basically a one-chance recruit very early on, and stopping that much progress to pursue the Remade side-plot would be extremely unlikely unless done very very intentionally.
Nevertheless, it would be possible, so... her initial impression would be... ...excited?
Of course, as the transformation progresses, she’d be a little more conflicted... why is it taking so long? Why doesn’t it seem... right? Sure he’s getting a bit more violent, and she likes that, but it seems less like fighting spirit and more like an aggressive defense response. He’s acting more and more like cornered prey.
By the fourth ‘act’, she gets the hint that he’s not turning into the glorious fight she was hoping he would; gets the hint that someone else got to him first to make him like this. So she’d just be itching for him to slip up and give her an excuse to put him out of his misery.
And if she ever finds out who did this... hoo hoo.
I haven’t thought of EVERY interaction yet, but some would definitely be easier and/or shorter than others, since most folks would just assume Sam looked outside or got infected by someone who did, and treat him no differently than other lucid cursed/mutants aside from a few dialogue changes here and there that get a little more worried as his condition declines.
