My Gaslight District OC

Because people seemed to like him!

★ His name is Selaphiel, often shortened to just Sela. A name associated with prayer, meaning "I have asked God." Ironic, considering his prayers have gone unanswered for years.

★ The four eyes on his face don't work well. Only being able to see objects that aren't moving. The eye on his chest, however, works perfectly fine. Though it's sensitive to light. Because if this, Sela only goes outside at night.

★ He's actually based off a pidgin. Like the kind that populate cities. Sala isn't grand, he isn't regal. But he does fit in well with the rest of the district. Scavenging the streets to find some unfortunate litterbug to eat. Almost feeling bad about it.

★ Before his fall, he was a Throne. The class of angel that upheld divine justice. It's his nature to judge the actions of others. He still judges. If you have miss-matching socks, Sela calls you sloppy. But only in his head.

★ In the Gaslight District, he mostly just breaks up fights between drunken rotlings. It’s almost funny. Funny that this is what he's been reduced to. And funny that Sela still tries to uphold some sort of unwritten law.

★ Very good at rationalizing things. Even things he knows is bad. It’s a habit carried over from his time as a Throne. If an idea of his goes bad, he won't feel guilt over it. But accepts the consequences of his actions all the same.

★ Ken sees it sometimes. The way Sela justifies every little thing. How he never acknowledges regret, but acceptaes the consequences. If he broke something in the shop, even by accident, Sela insists on cleaning it up and paying for the damage.

★ Despite everything, he still tries to be kind. His kindness doesn't mean much in the Gaslight District. But he still tries, all the same.
