Hey there what do you think about the cast of Welcome Home meeting MC's old best friend, who turns out to be searching for him, and one of the clues he finds ends up leading him to Home. Then MC starts spending a lot of time with him, helping him adjust and feeling happier than before, no longer being the only human in Home, and everyone else starts to feel displaced.(Sorry for My English i'm spanish)
And I really love your writing, it really inspires me
I've actually thought about this before! Never posted anything, but in my head there's like five chapters of the Reader slowly realizing that something is missing. Like a friend or family member. And in the real world, people are looking for you. Having become a lost person.
If you like my work, please consider commissioning me or leaving a tip on Ko-fi (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
★ This world was strange. You knew there was something wrong about it. Life in Home was... simple! Everything stays the same. Time passed on, but you never really felt it go by. Everything is as perfect, as untouched, as ever ...Nothing is new.
★ You were new, once. Having practically fallen into Home. Not staying new for very long. Settling in nicely, the world adjusted to you. Altering ever so slightly. Within a week, there was a new house somewhere in the neighborhood.
★ Construction? What's that? Far as you know, it popped up like a flower. Feeling overwhelmed, nodding along proved to be the easiest option. Most questions never get answered, anyway. So why bother?
★ People were looking for you, you know. Nobody from your old life forgot. You forgot them. But that wasn't your fault. Home didn't want you remembering, so those memories were cut out of the picture. It's hard to describe the influence Home has on people. Just know that when it hurts to think, it's someone else's limitation.
★ Those who knew you well refused to believe you up and left. Where'd you even go? Home. That's where you'd go. A certain person (someone you cared about) never gave up looking. Days, weeks, months, years, all passed by without an explanation.
★ Your neighbors aren't stupid. Something here is very obviously wrong. Howdy notices the bags under your eyes following an all-nighter. Many nights were spent tucked away in the darkness of your little living space. Retracing every decision that led you here. Honestly going a little insane.
★ Enough time had passed, and now there were no memories remaining of your life before Home. The realization deeply disturbed you. Leading to the lack of sleep.
★ Can't leave Home. But you were let inside. If a friend from before made their way to you, those lost memories would come flooding back. Overwhelming your mind and forcing the neighbors to question what's really happened here.
★ Another human In Home? Well, stranger things have happened. They acted just like you did when you first showed up. Panicked, confused, and using language that (almost) made Wally frown.
★ Colors seen in home were pastel and bright. Inviting those who stumble upon the neighborhood. You and your friend both arrived wearing washed out clothes. Slightly dull, but true to reality. Something Julie hated.
★ Watching this new person you click like two puzzle pieces was strange. All this time, Julie had assumed she was your best friend. But she’d never seen the side of you that laughs about bad choices from ages ago. She overheard, "Remember when we spray-painted the school wall?" -Did you actually do that?!?
★ A person from somewhere else would be tougher than what Home is used to. Poppy in particular felt her feathers fluffing up as you introduced her. Although the fear only lasted a couple of days.
★ Genuinely interested, Eddie wanted to learn about where you're from. Not all places are nice. Hometowns tend to be full of open secrets and incidents nobody talks about. Sharing stories might help Eddie understand your situation.
★ One account is good. Two perspectives give a fuller picture! You say "Well, there was that house that had to be torn down." Your friend adds the details you forgot about. "The building caught fire!" At that moment, he knew your old normal wasn't normal in the slightest.
★ Describing roadkill to Frank was a horrible decision. You shot daggers at the only other human in the room. Didn't do anything, but your option was clearly known.
★ In the real world, you became a missing person. The last time anyone caught a glimpse of you was during a walk home. Everything seemed fine. Only nobody saw you leave the house again. One morning, your bed was simply empty. Your friend tore your room apart, trying to find any clue as to what happened.
★ Nothing suggested a runaway. Of course, letting you be forgotten wasn't an option. If you were lost? Fine. Might as well be lost together.
★ Poppy hates the idea of someone being misplaced. You aren't a book! It's not like someone could just put you away on the wrong shelf. "Please don't disappear again." Poppy all but begs. Afraid you might find yourself lost once more.
