With the whole rumor and speculation scare of the Ducktales show going on, has there been anything from the show that you’ve been interested in writing or are currently working on?
My most recent projects are Fethry Duck and Phantom Blot scenarios. The former has to do with getting lost at sea and ending up marooned at the lighthouse (a certain denizen of the deep makes an appearance), while the latter is set during Phantom Blot's first weeks with FOWL and involves an Egghead Reader.
As for interests, I'd like to write something about all the Greek gods we've seen so far. I was thinking of combining the ideas into a team-up/rivalry, and here is the result:
Zeus, Storkules, Selene, and Hades reach a shaky compromise on who gets the reader when and for how long. Selene and Storkules are the keepers of this agreement because Zeus would revel in its destruction and Hades can't leave the Underworld. Storkules' inability to be apart from them infuriates Zeus more and more until he finally snaps.
Zeus spits on the treaty and attempts to imprison the reader in Ithaquack, prompting Selene to rescue them and deliver them to McDuck Manor. She tells Della that Zeus has gone mad, persuading Scrooge to protect them from her father (he likes the idea of humiliating the Greek tragedy). Distraught over Zeus' betrayal, Storkules weeps to Hades about the king of the gods' plot to backstab him.
Hades channels his wrath of being double-crossed by Zeus yet again and instigates an undead uprising on McDuck land. Hordes of zombies invade the manor as Zeus descends from Mount Olympus, a vicious lightning storm swirling around the trillionaire's home. Selene disintegrates waves of the undead with beams of lunar energy, Storkules barricades the doors and windows, and the McDuck-Duck family believes the only deranged deities are outside.
I appreciate asks like this. They help me think and brainstorm.
