➥ a/n: here's those headcanons i promised lol. i need to get out of this depression i'm in, so i'm gonna try to post more than just polls and be more brave about my writing. i hope y'all like this. :)

➥ despite popular belief, michael myers isn’t all about stalking and murdering any second he can get. he has wants and needs like every other person. although these activities may take up most of his time, he does have little “side missions” in between.

➥ michael knows he could blend in with the public if he wanted to - the thought of being a predator in plain sight is amusing to him and it almost convinces him to do so - but he doesn’t care to put in the effort. instead he prefers solitude and silence to surrounding himself with busy atmospheres.

➥ he enjoys nature. rain, shine, snow, clouds; he’s there for it. the silence and emptiness gives him a feeling of freedom and inner peace that he feels he deserves having been locked up and controlled most of his life.

➥ he’ll walk from one edge of whatever forest he’s taken refuge in the day before and just never stop, his legs never cramping and feet never blistering. if an animal stands in his path, he’ll kick a pile of leaves in its direction to scare it off and just keep going. in his mind, nothing can ruin this perfect day - not even an interruption like a stupid chipmunk.

➥ on the days when a catatonic episode emerges, his frozen body will already be safe coming out of the episode in his preferred setting - standing safe and sound in a clearing under a mixture of leaves, branches, and patches of sunlight. after the disorientation clears up, he takes a deep breath and keeps going - in denial of what just happened.

➥ on the rare occasion he needs to rest, he’d sit in the dirt with his back leaning against a tree, just admiring his surroundings. he’d scrape the dirt from under his nails with the tip of his knife, draw nonsensical shapes in the dirt, or carve his name into the bark of the tree - it's the only thing he remembers how to write.

➥ he doesn’t stay in one place for too long - his chance of being caught being a problem - but he does come back around eventually. when his eye catches something shiny or colorful during his walks, he’ll stuff it in his pocket for safe keeping. he has a special place in each forest where he keeps his collection, and so far no one has found them.

➥ he may be “the shape of haddonfield” to the general public, but as much as he likes to think he’s more different than he is, he is just a man chasing his desires and trying to make it through the bad days just like everyone else.
