Derek and Kaitlyn

Mona's maternal cousins.

Derek: A huge goofball. Like Nikki in the way that he likes climbing and having fun. He climbs trees, (attempts) whatever is in the yard if it looks climb-able and loves playing whatever games, video or real life. And like Space Kid in the way that he always seems to be in a cheerful mood, even when he's daydreaming about something cool and drifting off. But despite always being cheerful, he always notices when Mona's having an off moment and tries to distract her with a random game. She never complains, glad to not dwell on her negative emotions.

He's the one who dragged Mona out of her shell and got her to feel comfortable enough to talk and play with him. The two of them get up to chaos almost every time they meet up. Like Mona, he's also rather naive and will believe things easily if he doesn't know any better. Also pretty loud (which is why Mona didn't mind shouting at camp) Can get way in over his head when coming up with ideas and can get pouty when told off for doing something he shouldn't be doing.

Birthday is in February 22nd.

Kaitlyn: Derek's older sister. Very sarcastic, moody, slightly snappy and almost always done with Derek and Mona's antics. Never plays with them and is off on her own, on her phone, watching TV or practicing the guitar. Sometimes says sarcastic quips when they bother her and a few times Mona ends up getting snappy back before they both go to play somewhere else. She's a vegetarian and hates meat, thinks it's disgusting that it comes from animals. Is respectful to her parents, grandparents and aunt/uncle, and teachers, including two school friends but otherwise has no tolerance for her classmates, the older kids at school and Mona, Derek.

Is very interested in playing the guitar and secretly into painting but hasn't admitted it out loud. The teachers criticized her drawing skills so she got upset, stopped trying altogether and gave up on painting as a hobby before she could even start. (Unironically could be friends with Dolph over this, if she'd go to Camp Campbell)

Birthday is in December 7th.

They're not based off my actual cousins. Since I didn't base her parents off mine it felt weird to base the other family members like that, so I made these two, gave them different names and birthdays.

The only true thing I adopted is that at age 11, the cousin I was closest to WAS 7 too and he brought me out of my shell. We were chaos together.

New TMNT OC?? yeah. meet Galileo

it was created after the original four and is a southern painted turtle. despite being created after the original 4, they are older then Raph due to being a older turtle when mutated (about 5 when mutated, made 2 years after the OGs) They we're created by Draxum as a last ditch attempt and were part of the same batch as Venus de Milo, with these two being the only survivors for health reasons. (others were born with deformities that couldn't be fixed and died not long after hatching/mutation)

Galileo renamed themself from Madonna (after Madonna of Burges) around age 13, mutation year 8, when it realized they were trans. he doesn't have mystic powers and doesn't have Hamato DNA, but that is still considered a sibling by the turtles, if only a half sibling really.

Galileo, despite their name, is less interested in astronomy and prefers paleontology. they specifically prefer carnivorous theropods and will go out of their way to correct people on facts and anatomy. it is autistic as well, dinosaurs actually being his special interest. That prefers that/it/he/they pronouns and is agender. They're 5'8 and had to have braces as a kid, they fear doing that again but also hate their retainer, so it's a difficult balance. Galileo's colors are seen as Yellow, but that actually prefers orange or red. They took yellow cause Venus took green, so they could be lemon lime :)) Galileo's weapons are clawed hand armor/metal glove things (idk what they're called ;-;) and boots with spurs, as they prefer hand-to-hand combat.

When they finally meet the Hamato's it's during the awkward family dinner scene, Draxum insisting on bringing his children to meet their half-siblings. Venus and Galileo sat side by side, literally, and watched the chaos go down until Mikey dragged them in. Mikey and Galileo get along well, Venus and Galileo are typical siblings, Raph and Galileo don't get along the best at times but they manage, Leo and Galileo aren't that close but still enjoy hanging out, Donnie and Galileo are really close, almost as close as Venus, and share a love for science, biology and facts in general. April and Galileo are pretty good friends, not sibling level of friends, but close enough to have 'girls nights' with Venus, Mikey and Donnie. Splinter, Venus and Galileo all have a strained relationship, as Splinter sees them as his children not long after they meet, but Venus and Galileo don't see him as their father, but as an adult who happens to be involved. Eventually they do slowly see him as a father, but it takes a while.l and some perseverance.
