A word to all:
I write in hopes that everyone will listen and remember this for their own well-being.
I know as young people, we can often feel invincible or that something couldn't apply to you. But over the past few years with many happenings, I am convinced that life is. It just is. There is no, "it was meant to happen", there is no, "everything happens for a reason." Why do I say this? Well people use this when something bad turns into a learning experience. And that's awesome. I think the most important thing one can do to benefit themselves in a bad situation is to choose to react and make it a learning experience. But there are horrible situations and no one would ever say "everything happens for a reason" in a case like that. Life is all about how we choose to react to situations.
So I'm going to ask all of you, Ladies & Gents to take care of yourselves. If you feel like something is wrong is going on with your body (or mental health too), go get it examined. You feel a lump, as much as it scares you. Please, please tell someone. I know what it's like to try to go with your life and live with a fear that you don't know what's going to happen. Feeling out of control of yourself is one of the worst feelings of the world. So please do self-exams, ask your doctor to examine you if you have any concerns. Save lives by being proactive.
Where is this coming from? I wouldn't want anyone to experience this. In March after a physical, my doctor informed me I had a lump in my right breast/axillary region. I had a cold and she said it was probably due to enlarged lymph nodes. I took ibuprofen and that seemed to help. I was due back in 3 months for a check up. 3 months plus passed and I waited a bit longer because I could not deal working full time, taking online courses and possible dealing with what could be. Also my doctor(whom I'd only seen once) left and I had to find another. I set up an appt and she scheduled me for a breast ultrasound, after that at the breast center they scheduled me for a breast aspiration (in case it was a cyst) if not it would turn into a breast biopsy. It turned into a breast biopsy. And I got my results this week and I can say with this with IMMENSE JOY, it is a benign lymph node. Take action for yourself. & make everyday count.
