Are there any other species besides realtors or regular guys that live in Uncanny Valley?
Well, hello. And might I say, what a great question, my dear.
Yes, in fact. There are numerous other species that I remember who lived in Uncanny Valley. Many of these species arrived in the same way that Realtors and Regular Guys did, and that would be by way of Anomaly. Anomalies were the leading cause and starting point of almost all new developments within Uncanny Valley. Numerous new plants and animals were brought into existence through this circumstance. Most all were non-sentient beings, and resembled normal creatures outside of the valley, but with their own Uncanny attributes added onto them. Some of the most notable and/or prevalent were these species:
"Un-Deer/Uncanny Deer", the Undeere - Commonly known as "not-a-deer", These creatures have often been called cryptids by Humans. However they are just common creatures from Uncanny Valley. It's been rumored that some have escaped in the past, so it's not surprising that Humans outside of the valley have seen them. Unfortunately, anomammals are often unable to survive for long outside of Uncanny Valley. This is why they seem rare to Humans. The Undeere are deer-like creatures, with scrawny skeletal frames and joints that don't seem to make sense. Their faces look like deer mixed with dogs and zebras. They a have a primary, wide set of eyes where you'd expect, and then another smaller set right underneath. They were often dark and closed, so they are hard to spot unless you look for them. They had somewhat sharp teeth, and somewhat protruding fangs. These creatures are mostly non-hostile, however, and they are Omnivores who mostly eat vegetation and scavenged meat. They rarely ever hunt. I won't include a picture here, but they can be found relatively easily online by searching for images of 'Not-deer cryptids'.
The Non-human mimics, Mimesen - Mimesen ( Mi-Meh-Sen ) are somewhat humanoid looking creatures which are fairly elusive and are considered endangered in Uncanny Valley. There used to be a larger population of these creatures, unfortunately they have been overly preyed upon by Regular Guys, and sometimes even Realtors. Due to their vaguely humanoid-like appearance, they were often used by Regular Guys to obtain high-quality materials with which they could use to craft their body, or simply for general consumption. Realtors also sometimes used them as an alternative to Humans for a food source. Mimesen stand roughly around 4'10"-5'4" in height, and take on a raptor-like stance. Their main features are a hunched back, elongated neck, clawed hands and feet, and long ears. Some would also have a tail. Mimesen had a small, pointed face with delicate features. The features of the face overall looked more like vague suggestions rather than overt and prominent statements. They had a soft and aloof look to them, and could commonly have fur-like hair on their head, normally reaching no longer than shoulder length. As for their sentience, and mental capacity.. They were considered semi-sentient, with the mental capacity of a roughly 11 year old human child. These creatures were strictly herbivorous.
Finally.. There were the skittering Krascals. Krascals are somewhat small, feral creatures who make Uncanny Valley their home. Some Humans, Regular Guys, and even some Realtors sometimes try to socialize them and 'domesticate' them, as they are often looked at as endearing little beings. Krascals resemble cats, raccoons, and possums. They're usually around the same size as cats, if not smaller, and they take on many personality traits that are similar to the examples of the creatures I listed previously. They are Omnivorous scavengers, who can also eat and digest inorganic materials. They often make the suburbs their home, digging through trash and leftover materials in order to survive. Some types have been bred for captivity as pets, and can have unique patterning or coat colors. Largely though, they are dark grey with black and white markings.
