I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 10/4/2018. My journey started back in August of 2018. I found a lump in my left breast and totally lost my shyt. Then I went through hell to find a doctor to even see me to help me figure out what this lump was. It was madness. Thankfully I have my bestie @recovering_cupcakelover and her amazing sister who helped me find the doctors that helped me thru my battle. The cancer was cut out of my body 11/06/2018 by the magnificent Dr. Susan Boolbol of Mount Sinai and has been gone ever since. I did not need chemotherapy but I did go through 33 sessions of radiation therapy the first 7.5 weeks of 2019. Radiation was painful, exhausting and some days I just cried because my skin was burnt, broken and raw. I made it through with the help of my village of amazing friends and family. I am celebrating 456 days cancer free. Im still working through some of the mental and emotional trauma of the last year and a half but I take my tamoxifen every morning, hug my baby boy and I am grateful I am here to tell my story. #WorldCancerDay #SelfExaminationSavedMe #IAm1In8 #GodsGotMe #FuckCancer #checkYourTatas #BreastCancerFighter #RadiationTherapy #HormoneTherapy #Tamoxifen #gratefultobehere #MyJourneyThroughCancer https://www.instagram.com/p/B8Kjc2HAxqM/?igshid=1kt30xhvsiql5
