i love the calm after the storm

(i truly love the messy tempest as well)

ah, beautiful petrichor--the scent of the rain on the pavement

(ah, the potent stench of blood on my skin)

the enveloping humid warmth

(the consuming thickness of nausea) 

the water gently rolls off me

(the peroxide bubbles and stings)

it soaks through my clothes

(and it always stains)

maybe i’ll see a rainbow

(often i’ll see stars)

and i’ll laugh

(and sometimes cry)

and i’ll shout to everyone--

(and i can’t say a thing--)

i love this feeling!
