A Certified Soft Boy(TM) 

I’ve wanted a plushie of my partner digimon since i was a lil tyke and i finally checked that dream out of my bucket list for the Digifake week’s theme of Recolour/subspecies.  Selfinmon is a data attribute variant of Gazimon and here is some more info about him if you are interested :3c 

He is from the absolute softest plush (smooth side up for the ears and fluffy one up on the rest) and some other type of plushy fabrics i forgot the name of, you know those that are a pain to sew with, and about 20 cm high and his tail’s 40 cm long. I wanted to make a simple lookin plush toy like those ‘first childhood dolls’ that are perfect for cuddles so his body and the end of the tail is very firmly stuffed while his long floppy ears are just the fabric. 

I could have handled the tips of his ears better as well as the golden markings (i still havent gotten the hang of how to sew with this particular fabric :/ gettin slowly better tho!) but overall im really pleased how he turned out? i was especially worried about the head since it was my first time makin a snout like this ^^;;

@elecmon and @gaomon were talking ages ago about those skateboarding digimon figurines and even skating digimon partners and i just really wanted to join the fun with Selfinmon.. ^^;;; 

The skateboard design shows i shouldnt be allowed to design anything is inspired by Selfi’s markings (the forehead one being part of the sign) and the text spells RAD in digimoji :3c

For today’s theme of the digifake week: X-Antibody

Selfinmon X singlehandedly transported me back to middle school, to back when the edgy colorful wolf ocs reigned supreme and i never even had a colorful wolf oc. But listen, i went with the classic X-Antibody mix of Bigger! Sharper! More Markings! More Ridiculous!! so here is this beautiful trainwreck

No longer truly bipedal, he runs on all fours although he can stand up to attack/reach somewhere, kinda like bears

Not actually That much bigger than the regular Selfinmon, only his claws, tail, ears, mane, snout and torso grew, who am i kidding he is the size of a small pony have you seen Gazimon X tho im not that out of place

Rings on his tail bear the mark of Antibody and symbols of four elements of alchemy although like the ones on his front legs they dont give him any special powers lmao

Antibody gave him a nice offensive boost with more raw strength and more ammo for his Kini Boomer buuut his stamina suffered and he also got much slower and lazier

Name: Slothmon (Sloth as the sin and the animal) Level: Perfect Type: Undead Attribute: Virus Field: Nightmare Soldiers Main My evolution:  Dark evolution of Wolpetinmon Other options: (sorted by occurrence)  From - Raremon, Porcupamon, Ankylomon, Death-X-DORU-gamon, Wendigomon, Tobucatmon, Duskmon  To -  Belphemon, SkullMammon, Death-X-DORUgoramon, Death-X-mon, Megidramon, Ogudomon (jogress with any of the Dark Lords) Attacks:  Apathy Deluge: The sludge from his body overspills and starts flooding the area, not only trapping everyone it touches but also making them lose all will to fight or even to try to free themselves from it.   Extinction Wave: breathes out a cloud of dark poison gaz that immediately deletes anything up to rookie level, either kills or heavily injures champions and hurts and “poisons” anything above. Inflicted wounds actually start very slowly deleting the injured digimon’s data. It is curable unless it reaches the digicore.

  Slothmon cant and doesnt want to move very fast (or move at all) so he doesnt have any special melee attacks but these claws can still cause a lot of damage in case he decides to actually slash them at the foe. In general he uses Apathy Deluge to trap their opponents only to finish them with Extinction Wave.   Unlike other Dark evolutions, Slothmon isnt compelled to go on a rampage after he destroys the nearest targets so the best strategy is to keep dodging or even run away until he gets too lethargic to fight. Moreover, his Orochimon’s snake head is sentient and Doesn’t Appreciate to be part of this undead mess At All. So it will often attack and bite Slothmon’s body or wings which can be used as a distraction.    It’s based on Megatherium, an extinct giant ground sloth. ( With some characteristics from other members of the Pilosa order like anteater’s knuckle walking or long long arms like sloths.) As for the sin of sloth, in cech we say if you are lazy you will rot from inside. His spikes, markings, chains and wings are all reference to the dark lord of sloth Belphemon and he also has Belphegor’s prime number on his ears. There are some parallels with Selfi’s ‘true’ perfect level evolution Hermanubimon as well.   Since is digicore contains a large chunk of Orochimon’s data, the snake head has a mind of its own although the robotic one is broken forever and can be only dragged behind. Some leftover bits of Orochimon’s data also took form of snakes wiggling in that rotting pile of flesh and constantly biting him.. Like in the pits of snakes from Dante’s Inferno.

Just a brief but Embarrassing n badly written tamersona trivia under the cut but TL;DR, who would have guessed that Hope isn’t about blindly relying and counting on a thing to happen despite not putting any actual effort into it?

Although Kao has already managed to make Selfinmon evolve to his perfect level via the symbol of Hope several times, she didnt want to go fight Orochimon because she is a Mess and was terrified of failure so she kept pretending that the threat simply.. didnt exist. But there is only so many times your digi partner can give you a pep talk without calling you out on your shitty behaviour which led to a big fight between them and Selfi storming off furious. And going against Orochimon as a rookie out of spite to help anyway. Take a wild guess how long can a rookie level fight against a Perfect? yea not that long so Selfi actually began to disappear and got partially deleted before Kao finally arrived shouting at full lungs to “Give me back Selfi! It is not supposed to go like this, this is not right, he hAS TO COME BACK!” mmm kiddo you cant constantly rely on Hope without actually doing anything to achieve your dreams, keeping up the positive attitude that everything will all go alright is nice and all but It! Isnt!! Enough!!! So basically Kao kept confusing hope with denial and over-reliance which means *drumrolls* the Dark Effin Evolution! Plus Selfi being almost dead/deleted certainly didnt help things and due to the Dark evolution’s power some of Orochimon’s data got mixed into Selfi’s own and he turned into Undead Slothmon. After that the fight was pretty much over, although it took quite a few friendly digi casualties... And Kao knew she fucked up, despite everything she thought she knew better than to cause a Dark evolution....... Selfi transformed back into a Digiegg, yet Kao felt like she wasnt allowed to keep the egg anymore. But everything got sorted out in the end ~
