Ventured to the gym again today since the air outside is not suitable for exercise. There was a guy there that decided that he didn’t have to abide by the “wear a mask” rule. Like, at all. He had a bandana around his neck, no where close to his breathing holes. I wanted to say something, but I had a feeling he’d be a dick about it if I did. Later someone braver than me said something to the guy and guess what? He was a fucking dick about it. Refused to cover his face and just went about his business like the dude that approached him was in the wrong. Fucking tool. The guy that had asked him to put on his face covering reported the jerk to management. Not sure how much good it’ll do, but hopefully it does. If you can’t workout with a mask on, you can’t workout in the gym... so get out.

Even after all the bullshit he put me through I still can't help but think about how sad it is for him.

He had a fiance fighting for him by his bedside for 4 months.

And now before the end of the month he's going to be home.

He's finally going to get to sleep in his own bed and think about getting back to all the things he loves.

It's going to feel very empty and sad without me.

(don't get me wrong I absolutely made the right choice and I could never be what he wants me to be and I don't want to be)

It's just hard to not see it from where he's sitting.

Which is my entire problem. I spent the whole time thinking about how it looks like to him, and he can't even acknowledge my pain or my difficulties in the slightest.

He can't even tell me that he's falling in love with me all over again. Or thank me for all of the very advanced, somewhat uncomfortable tasks that I helped him with when someone is confined to a bed.

God!

Obviously I dodged a bullet but, I don't know if this is just overthinking or empathy or what.

But damn it is sad for him.

Shouldn't have treated me that badly for that long huh?

I put the new fire hydrant right outside of my house. Now if there's ever a fire in town, I'll be safe! Those other guys won't, but the mayor is the most important person, right?
