Reposted from @fredandfar “All my single ladies... I've always celebrated my chosen singlehood. I never wanted the marriage and children that other women seemed to want. Instead, I wanted to live life on my own terms and be completely independent. I wanted to travel and have adventures and not feel tied down. And while I'm extremely happy with my choices, they're not ones that society deems worthy of celebrating. I will never have an engagement ring to show off, a bridal gown to pick out, and *definitely* not a baby! Friends will never throw me a shower to celebrate my independence because people don't celebrate single women... They see us as sad, lonely cat ladies (ok, guilty on the 3rd one 😸) that are lacking something in their lives. For most of us, it's just not true! As I'm about to start a completely new chapter in my life, I wanted to celebrate the choices that have made it possible. The Victorians had a custom whereby single women (and men) who had no interest in marriage would wear a pinky ring on their left hand as a sign to the world that they were single, but not looking. I wanted to embrace that tradition. So, in searching for a ring to do that, I came across @fredandfar . I found the most gorgeous ring that is designed to symbolize a woman's commitment to herself. I fell in love immediately and purchased it right away. It arrived yesterday and I couldn't be more thrilled! So, here I am, single AF, and proud to show it off. 💍 This is not an ad, just a product I love and wanted to share. Love yourself, ladies!” Welcome @shopbuyposh your sparkling spirit is delicious and we are lucky to have you with us. 💗 Melody #selflovepinkyring #selflovejourney #selfcaresunday #singlebychoice #selfpartnered #selfpartnering #selflovering #singlelifestyle #singleaf #chooseyourself - #regrann https://www.instagram.com/p/B-MkYD0Jc_U/?igshid=12c6t1hhxvqsy
