So, Sat. 18.05.19 my AJ1 Off-White UNC got the UNDS treatment, all for the great cause of the #OffspringHQSuperSaturday #TravisScott . & what can I say but it was very much well worth it! Hats off to @offspringhq for putting up a great event, and #OffspringHQCommunity for the positivity and love shown throughout the day. Although some technical issues everyone kept calm and it was a smooth process. Luckily I came early and was in and out before you know it, but was glad to stay around to talk and share stories with people before heading to @sneakerness and interviews by @dicefm. No matter what you’re going through in life its always good to know there are people in this world you can relate to in many ways than one. It’s nice to travel and take your mind of things, sharing experiences and the love for sneakers. These #AJ1TravisScott’s are the trainers Ive been waiting for… for ages! Finally got them along with a dope @OffspringHQ bag and dope stickers to add to my collection (Swipe left). A day of firsts; First Jordan Silhouette, First OS W, First wear of the UNCs. An­a­lyz­ing what the val­ues the brand to car­ried in its hey­day, we’ve brought our vi­sion to its pres­ence today. With a first ex­e­cu­tion at Sel­f­ridges we wanted to fol­low Fiorucci’s path into ef­fron­tery, by hi­jack­ing a mu­seum space into a shop­ping area. Trans­form­ing iconic sym­bols from the past into dis­plays was our way to con­front two dis­tinct uni­verses that rep­re­sent the brand’s his­tory and its new di­rec­tion. A tongue-in-cheek way to ex­press Fiorucci’s her­itage and the brand’s re­gard on its past.

Electric, 3-wheel morgan 1909 edition EV3 combines best of British fashion + automotive engineering

Design Boom:

The name signifies both morgan and selfridges’ birth years, 1909, with 19 signifying the number of cars due to be created by the two iconic british brands. designed to be a collector’s item, the ‘EV3′ blends morgan’s engineering know-how and influential design. the retro-futuristic sports car combines british style and elegance in a handcrafted body with zero-emission technology.

I have been into multi-brand initiatives lately. Working on my first one last year, I can appreciate the sustained time and care these require. I especially love when they cross-category and are designed around the human, not distribution. My favorite part of this collaboration was the meaning they gave the year 1909. Going beyond the year both brands were founded, they took it a step further to create 19 limited edition pieces from 9 brands. Limited edition is a great way to stretch out into the conceptual space, but still make something tangible.
