Pansexual/romantic, allosexual, demiromantic. No strong preference towards presentation types [feminine, masculine, androgynous]
Cisgender, although I generally don't mind seeing him as other things from time to time. I don't think he'd be isogender, but being intersex or transgender seems more plausible in my mind.
Unsure of what his race or ethnicity is since there isn't a whole lot of established information about Stardew Valley's geography, but I imagine he's Native although not very knowledgeable about his roots.

Doesn't really like using a lot of labels for himself, but tries to learn more about labels other people use, especially the ones used by those closest to him. He's really bad at remembering pride flags though and gets them mixed up a lot, but he's trying.
No contact with his parents, hasn't been in contact with or so much as seen either of them since he moved out after high school.
Jas has a room in our house for when she wants to stay over, but it was decided by her before the wedding that she wanted to primarily live with Marnie so she wouldn't get lonely being all by herself all the time.
Shane still helps Marnie out at her ranch, mostly just cutting firewood and helping take care of the chickens from time to time.
Pretty neutral with everyone else in the village. He doesn't go out of his way to talk to people, but he also doesn't have any reason to not really like anyone either.
Decent friends with Gus and Emily, seeing as he's seen them daily for years.
Tolerates Pam. He doesn't like how she treats Penny and has tried to convince her to go sober since he's sobered up, but she doesn't listen. [ Kinda fitting in with his quotes after you build Pam a house. Regular - Built Pam's House & Built Pam's House, Anonymous ]
He's pretty good at cooking when he has the motivation and likes to experiment in the kitchen a lot. When he was living with Marnie, he was the one that cooked most nights, primarily on the weekends. After marriage, he's the one that cooks the most.
He likes to carve wooden figurines, primarily making little chickens. He's not the best at it, but he doesn't mind.
Likes alternative music, particularly numetal. He also likes jazz although doesn't listen to it very often.
Really enjoys roguelike video games.
Doesn't like pickles and sour foods. Also not the biggest fan of candy, especially candy fruits and those adjacent. [ Pickles are canon, but I still thought I'd mention. ]
Uncanny valley really freaks him out and makes him on-edge.
Doesn't like slimy or sticky things.
Before the six heart event and some time afterwards, he struggled to take care of himself as it took a lot of energy out of him and he didn't see much of a point. This resulted in him more often than not rewearing dirty clothes, not showering for several days, and not brushing his teeth. After starting therapy, all of this gradually improves until he develops more healthier habits.
Raised in the Stardew Valley equivalent of a Christian household.
Parents were very strict and held Shane to a very high standard all throughout his life, putting constant stress on him to the point where he was constantly feeling neglected and eventually sneaking out of the house to go to parties and meet with friends. [ Regular - +8 Hearts ]
Played gridball all throughout school, both for school sports and extra stuff outside of school. It became primarily for school once he started high school as he wasn't able to find a team for his age group in his town.
Would stay over at Marnie's ranch for a month during the summers from ten and older as a cheaper alternative to summer camp. This is how he found his love of chickens.
He lost motivation to continue playing gridball and thus never tried to get into playing it professionally, which made his parents upset. This resulted in him moving out soon after high school to escape the toxicity.
After high school, he and a close friend of his moved in together almost immediately. They lived together for a few years until another friend of Shane's, Jas's mother passed away. Her father was out of the picture, so Shane took her in as a baby. He and his friend didn't have the space for a kid, so Shane moved in with Marnie.
His mental health took a dive after taking Jas into his care, but he kept himself going because he wanted to be there for her.
Loves to poke fun and tease people he's closest to in a very gentle way.
Very deep sleeper, so much so that he could probably sleep through an air siren.
HATES deep bodies of water. It makes him feel panicked and nauseous, but he says it's worth it whenever he goes to Ginger Island. As long as he can sit inside somewhere while on the water he'll be fine.
He's always willing to try new things, particularly foods, even if he doesn't think he'll like them.
