Many people don’t think of the infamous Director, Paulo Ravinski, as the lovey dovey type. But is it that farfetched to believe that a man so passionate about his craft would be just as, if not more, obsessed with his most beloved?
I’m sure you’d understand me when I say filming can sometimes be difficult. It sometimes seems like no one wants to see my true vision, mutilating it into something I can’t even semi identify. I do believe you’re the only one who truly understands my visions, and I’m utterly thankful for that, my love.
I don’t care for anyone’s opinion, except for yours. Those people don’t care for art, and I know I can’t change that. It took me a long time to come to terms with that. If they won’t even give my work a chance, there’s no point in trying to make them understand. Real art makes people think, and that’s what I try to do, every waking moment. Besides, I already have someone who wants to see me and my work, who believes in me. You.
There’s two things I’m always thinking of: movies and you. I’ve never felt so seen with anyone else. You just get it, and I hope I can even begin to make you feel the same way. Together, I believe we can make true, all-human art. Do you?
For my next movie, I have a grand idea, and I want to know your thoughts. It’ll center around a duo, metaphorically sewn together, who truly, wholly see each other. They’ll have two rats: named… let’s see… Michael and Gina. The thing is, Michael and Gina are rabid, and ready to feast on anyone, even their parents, the inseparable duo who adore each other more than anything. In the end, Michael and Gina succeed in eating them, but I’d make a point to show how intensely the duo loves each other. More than anything. Sound familiar? Mike and Gianni can play the rabid rats, but I’d prefer for the two of us to be the directors, together. That way, the vision would be perfect. We’d fight off anyone trying to change it, at each other’s side. Actually, my favorite place is at your side, sending chills down the spines of the masses.
And after filming, each day we’d come home, with Mike and Gianni. Just the four of us, forever. That’s how I want it, for all time. All I want to know is if you’d want it to?
