Double (sometimes called a dupe): An individual who selfships with the same character as you.
In selfshipping communities people have "sharing statuses" which are boundaries of how comfortable they are interacting with doubles.
Sharing- Comfortable interacting with doubles or talking.
Hypersharing- A bit of a similar term to sharing. This might mean that someone will actively seek out doubles and engage with them often.
Selective Sharing- May or may not be comfortable with doubles interacting depending on circumstances or the individual.
Sometimes it's adults who only prefer to interact with other adult doubles. Sometimes it's circumstantial for other reasons.
Nonsharing- Not comfortable interacting with doubles.
Mirrorsharing- Their comfort mirrors the other person. For example they are not comfortable interacting with nonsharing doubles, may be comfortable with selective sharing doubles, and share with sharing doubles.
For me personally, in public spaces I am pretty much okay with doubles interacting with me. I don't really have any discomfort for it. So instead of saying or specifying anything, I just mention that it's okay in my posts.
