I see kiss prompts 👀 could you write 25 for OiSemi please? 😇
Day 1: Semi X Oikawa, “25… as a yes”
I apologise for any mistakes :D Also, this will be published on my AO3 page. Here is the LINK.
“Oi, Tōru,” Eita’s voice rang through the park.
Oikawa flinched, but didn’t turn around to greet his boyfriend. He was busy practicing and needed to get ten more serves. Then, maybe he could turn in for the night. Only if he did a good job on them.
He did hear Eita approach him. It didn’t matter, Oikawa told himself despite how tense his shoulders got. He did also feel vaguely bad for ignoring Semi too.
“Take a break please.”
“I just need to do this, then I am done.” Oikawa told him. He was thrown off his concentration. Five bottles were lined up on the opposite side and he needed to hit one of them. Would he serve it to the left corner, the middle or that far right. So many possibilities and there was countless of way the opposite team could attack. It all matter and it all lied on his shoulders. He was the server of his team, the setter and the captain. If he couldn’t serve, set and lead; what good was he for then.
He hear Eita huff beside him, but didn’t move to do anything else.
Oikawa breathed deeply out and threw the ball up.
It was a great start. The ball went just about the right height and arch before it started the downfall. It gave him the right amount of time to do a run up and approached the ball. Left side or right side or the middle. It all lied on him. A good start meant a good game, and that was only a byproduct of a good captain, setter and server. He needed to be good.
He hit it. It landed perfectly against his palm as he smashed it over to the other side. He almost smiled, imagining if Iwaizumi, Hanamaki and Matsukawa was there with him, all of them expecting him to deliver what was necessary for them to play at their fullest. It all lied on him.
Just when he was about to land, his bad knee gave out and he stumbled to the ground with a stump.
It didn’t really hurt, but his knees always kind of hurt. The small twist he got stung his worn out tendons and he felt his muscles contract.
Oikawa gritted his teeth as he sat up and inspected his knee.
It was nothing, and in a few minutes he would be up again serving.
“Shit,” He heard Eita run to get his bag and then run back to him. “Are you okay?” Eita found the small first-aid kit and took out the cooling spray. He sprayed it on his knee after he took off his brace. “You’re cold.”
Actually, he wasn’t cold. He wasn’t cold, but the autnigm weather was cold. What more motivation did he need. Cold weather only meant that his warm needed to be top notch.
“Relax, Eita-chan, I am fine.” Oikawa said back and drew his knees away from him.
“You are clearly not fine, Tōru.” Semi chided back. He had his face set in an upset frown. Something like Iwaizumi, but their ace just looked a little more angry than concerned “How long have you been here? Didn’t you have a practice match today against a college class?”
Oikawa gave a small nod. They did well on their match. Even when they switched it up, he managed to cooperate well with his makeshift team. He got phrases and hellers of joy from the girls that always cheered on him, but the tournaments was only a few weeks away and he needed to step up his game if he wanted to lead his team to nationals.
“Well, I think you have earned your rest.” The other setter said, and crossed his arms. The ground was cold under than and Oikawa felt himself shiver. Being still for so long was not good in this weather. The sweat he had managed to build up made it colder and he should grab his coat before he caught the flu. Iwaizumi might not be so happy with him then.
“I just need to finish,” he looked to the other side and saw that all five bottles were standing still as statues, lined up perfectly. He didn’t even hit one of them! The ball was somewhere in the bushes behind the court. That would be a small pain to retrieve. “Ten more. ten more good serves and then I can start my cool downs.”
“It’s enough!. I went home to yours first. Auntie told me you have been outside from after dinner. That was three hours ago!”
“Eita-chan, you don’t understand, I need to get better. I need to be able to serve and set and my team depends on me to do that!” He didn’t mean to rise his voice. but between classes, his father and practice, he did feel like he was wearing thin. He just needed ten good serves and then he could get a peaceful sleep.
“Well, I may not be captain, but I do understand that you are exhausting yourself. Look at you Tōru. Come on.” Simu actually yelled at him. Like a scolding mother. “You are tried, so tired your knees are giving in. Listen to your body for once. If you don’t take care of yourself, you might might make it worse again.! It that what you want?”
“No, of course not!” Oikawa shouted at him. No one understood. “You don’t understand..”
“I understand enough to see that you are too tired to give your best. If you can’t give yours best, you won’t get anything from the extra practice.”
Oikawa knew the loginc, he told his younger teammates to rest well and take care of themselves. That rule didn’t apply to him. He didn’t need it. He just needed to be able to play volleyball and that was all he wanted to do. He wanted to go to nationals, further up in the ranks and win. Win it all.
Semi deflated some. “I am worried about you, you know. You always wear yourself out so much, but can you please just take a break.”
Oikawa didn’t look at him. He heard the small crack in his voice and he imagined his eyes getting glassy and shiny. He could hear the small shake of Semi’s voice echo in the empty park.
“I want to go to nationals, and beat everyone at the tournaments.” He knew that it meant beating his boyfriend, but he didn’t have any intention to go easy on him. “I want to be better and I need to be better-”
“Tory, can you please come home. We can watch a movie. Those silly Alien documentaries you force me to watch while we eat ice cream. I can sleep over. It’s Sunday tomorrow and we can just sleep in and take a walk later in the day.” Semi said calmly. “Look at me, Tōru.”
OIkawa glanced at him quickly. He was surprised to see that small gathering of tears in his lover.
“I want to compete against you..about the first place, the gateway to nationals. But if you keep wearing yourself out like this….like this, I won’t be able to. And neither would you. Iwaizumi, your team your mother, all care about you, but sometimes it looks like you didn’t care enough about yourself. So please just take a break and go home with me. I can’t just stand at the sideline, see you breaking your body down for a serve or ten of those. If volleyball is more important, then continue, but that will be without me by your side.”
Oikawa looked at the ground, he did feel guilty that he wasn’t always declining the offer to hang out with his friends and boyfriend. And he did feel tired and it was more calming to just spend Saturday night at home, doing his own stuff and actually relax for once. Semi was stubborn and stoic and hot headed, but now he just sounded as spent and worn out as himself . Perhaps he, himself, was rather selfish sometimes.
Oikawa sat quietly up and bent over to press a soft kiss to Eita’s lips. They were chilled because of the autumn weather and Oikawa imagined that his sweat soaked face wasn’t really that pleasant.
Semi looked a little shocked at him.
OIkawa gave him a smile and a nod. “Ok, I’ll go home with you. Just help me up please.”
Semi breathed out, relife washing over him. “You are such a moron, Tōru.”

The “I was abroad last semester and forgot to fill out the housing form, but your old roommate dropped out so hi, hey, how’s it going, I guess we live together now” AU no one wanted
“Hey, uh, excuse me this is room 14B right?” A voice spoke behind Oikawa. Turning away from his unpacking, Oikawa was met with light blonde hair and warm, bored looking brown eyes.
“Yeah it is, I am Oikawa, your roommate I guess, nice to meet you!” He greeted cheerily.
The newcomer smiled lightly before stating his name, “Semi Eita.” He walked into the dorm and placed his bag on the other bed. Oikawa went back to unpacking but watched his new roommate out the corner of his eye. He seemed to be fairly organized and well-kept, which was good for Oikawa who couldn’t stand having a messy living space. He had long, slender fingers with neatly trimmed finger nails. Semi also seemed to keep things minimal.
“So,” Oikawa said, breaking the silence, “what’s your major?”
“Foreign languages with a track in French Language and Culture, I studied abroad in France last semester, which is why I’m your new roommate on such short notice. What about you?” Semi responded, going over to the small closet to hang up his clothes.
“Astrophysics,” Oikawa responded before standing, “I’m going to head out.” Semi nodded in recognition but just continued unpacking.
Oikawa doesn’t know what it was, but he already felt the need to prove himself better than Semi.

All Us Single Boys Chat
Oikawa: Meet me at the coffee shop asap!!!
Makki: We really need to change the name of this chat
Mattsun: Yeah, Oikawa’s the only single one now
Makki: Lmao
Mattsun: Lmao
Oikawa: Guys seriously, it’s urgent!!
Iwa: Already there
Mattsun: I’ll go on break early
Makki changed chat name to Oikawa Is Independent And Don’t Need No Man
~
“So, what did you want to talk about?” Mattsun asked, bringing over four cups of coffee, still in his apron.
“My new roommate. That guy is trying to one up me, but I’ll let you know, it’s not going to happen!” Oikawa declared loudly
“I seriously doubt that’s what’s happening but okay,” Iwa said, shrugging and taking a sip of their coffee. “It doesn’t even sound like you had a real conversation, all you know is his major and his name.”
“And that he studied abroad in France. Why else would he say that if not trying to one up me?”
Hanamaki nodded, “Yeah, it’s not like he was trying to make conversation or anything because you’ll be living together for the next semester.”
“If you really don’t like him, just don’t talk to him. You’re making a big deal out of nothing. Maybe talk to him more before classes start?” Iwa concluded.
“Yeah, I agree, and as much as I would love to continue this stimulating conversation, I must go back to work,” Mattsun got up to leave, kissing Makki on the cheek while whispering ‘no homo though’.
“Gross,” Iwaizumi commented.
“Oh really? As if you and Suga are any better!” Makki retaliated. Oikawa let out a light laugh as he watched his friends.
“I’m gonna head out too,” Oikawa said, waving back at his friends. He knew they were probably right, that he was overreacting. However, he was still intrigued to say the least, just based off his possessions. Oikawa had noticed many language books and organized notebooks, so it’s obvious he took his studies seriously and found them at least enjoyable. He had also seen some work out clothes and photographs, so he must have other hobbies as well. Maybe they could get along after all.
He was very wrong. So wrong. Now, Oikawa was not a messy person in the slightest, but compared to Semi’s side of the room, it looked like Oikawa had never bothered to put his belongings away in the first place. Semi had all his books organized and straight on his desk, with a stack of flashcards neatly rubber banded together, and to top it all of, his calendar was color coordinated and listed each class and activity he had planned for the next month.
He was laying on his bed, already relaxed, with earbuds in and a books open. He had looked up at Oikawa with a questioning look.
“So, what are you reading?” Oikawa asked, taking Iwaizumi’s advice and actually making conversation.
“ Le Fantôme de l'Opéra ,” Semi responded, taking one earbud out, “it’s for French Literature and Cinema.”
“Oh that’s… fun?” Oikawa said, kicking of his shoes, and going to change his shirt. He felt eyes on him, but when he looked over at Semi, he was still immersed in his book. Shrugging it off, he pulled a new shirt over his head and proceeded to lay down on his own bed with his laptop. Every now and then, he would sneak a glance at Semi to see if he was doing anything else, but he wasn’t, he just kept reading. His face was very relaxed, and he looked natural like this. His eyes followed the words on the page and he would sometimes mouth the words. Oikawa turned back to his blank laptop, unsure of what to do.
He heard a sigh and the sound of a book closing, Semi stretched, “I’m going to sleep.” He put the book into his bag and went to the bathroom to do his nightly routine.
The minute of silence was ended by a text alert.

Oikawa Is Independent And Don’t Need No Man
Makki: So, how is it going with Semi
Oikawa: It is not going, it’s so hard to talk to him
Makki: Maybe you’re not bringing up the right topics?
Mattsun: Or maybe he needs time?
Iwa: Or maybe he just doesn’t want to talk, crappykawa
Oikawa: But we’re roommates, we have to
Mattsun: I still just say give him time
Makki: I agree
Mattsun: Aw babe

“Goodnight,” Semi said, turning off his fairy lights, but leaving the lamp on for Oikawa, and crawling under his covers, leaving Oikawa to his own devices. Still staring at the browser, he finally decided what he wanted to search. ‘ Questions To Ask Your New Roommate’ .
The next morning (after Oikawa’s early morning jog) he wrote down the questions he planned to ask and waited for Semi to return. Did it seem desperate? Maybe, but Oikawa wouldn’t be able to stand awkwardness and no talking in his own home.
“Welcome back, Semi, go ahead, take a seat, make yourself at home!” Oikawa greeted, waiting for Semi to take a seat.
“Yes?’
“I have some questions I want to ask you,” Oikawa said, holding his notebook. “So, to start, do you have a job? And if you do, how late will you be out?”
“Right now I’m just a tutor, so I won’t be out too late. What about you?” Semi responded, deciding to humor Oikawa and get the questions over with.
“I’m a server at a restaurant down the street.” Oikawa was smiling, glad this was off to a good start. “How do you feel about guests?”
Semi shrugged, “I guess I don’t mind.”
“Do you smoke or drink? I don’t care if you do, I just want to know.”
“I mean, not on a regular basis? I just drink at parties sometimes.”
“How do you spend your free time?”
“I mostly just do photography, violin, or study, some times I’ll exercise.”
“And lastly, for now, are you involved in any sports or clubs?”
“Not yet, I was thinking about volleyball maybe.”
“Really? What position do you play?” Oikawa asked, intrigued.
“Setter.”
And with that, Oikawa got that much more competitive. He wasn’t going to let this kid beat him. “Oh, interesting, well, you see, I am currently a setter on the team so.”
“And? Your point?” Semi asked with an accusatory tone.
“My point is that I’m already the regular setter!”
“You know what,” Semi said standing up, “I wasn’t even a hundred percent sure I wanted to even try out, but now, I am definitely going to, and I’ll kick your ass.” And with that, he left.
Oikawa groaned and picked up his phone to send a text to his group.
Oikawa: I fucked up
Iwa: What’s new?
Makki: Lmao
Mattsun: Lmao
Who worries about howthey will look when they’re older
Semi. He wants to be young and beautiful forever… what ifhe and Oikawa are only together because they both look great, and when theirlooks fade they won’t want to be together anymore? It’s a concerning thing
Who makes the mixtapes/CDs
Neither. What a laughable idea. They look down upon such athing. If you want to share music just say “hey listen to this” andplay it??
Clings to the otherduring scary movies
Oikawa. He isn’t scared, he just likes the excuse to cling.Semi, however, is scared but doesn’t want to swallow his pride and admit it(even though Oikawa already figured it out), so it’s a mutually beneficialrelationship
Gets into the showerwith the other randomly
Semi. He’s not sneaky about it either, he’s after one thing(Oikawa). He finds it is very convenient, because Oikawa’s already undressed.Oikawa sometimes complains about it though, saying he has important things tobe doing and he just wants to finish his shower, so Semi will acquiesce andsimply shower with him
Flashes the otherwhen they walk by after taking a shower alone
Neither. It’s not really their style. Semi is morestraightforward, and Oikawa is more coy with his advances. Flashing justdoesn’t do it for them.
Initiates handholding while the other is driving
Neither. Semi used to do it when Oikawa was driving butstopped because Oikawa is too much of a nervous driver for that, Semi fearedfor their lives
Secretly tries totouch the other in naughty places during public/family events
Semi. He gets bored easily at these kinds of things, andOikawa is always so shocked every time it happens, and it’s funny watchingOikawa explain away his little shriek of surprise without admitting hisboyfriend just grabbed his butt
Asks weird questionsin the middle of the night
Oikawa. If he’s not already asleep, Semi pretends to beasleep, hoping it will prompt Oikawa to do the same. Oikawa always knows whenhe’s just being ignored, so sometimes if it’s a very important query, he’llpester Semi until he gives in and admits he’s awake
Asks “what areyou thinking about?”
Oikawa. It’s a good way to get Semi talking if he ever getswrapped up in his thoughts, and Semi doesn’t like it when Oikawa already knowswhat the problem is, so Oikawa pretends not to know sometimes
Always has to betouching the other
Oikawa. He’s always draping himself all overSemi when they’re out and when they’re in. Not that Semi’s complaining
