My Gift for @senalishia for the @gatesofsummerexchange ♥ I know I asked about the russingon, but I changed my mind. There is a lot of russingon out there, but not as much of these 3 :) I’m leaving an alternative version below the cut

I have to keep reminding myself that I almost never enjoy fics in the 5+1 format. Most authors do not have five separate and fully-fertile concepts to explore and they just get bogged down and rambley.
I don’t read a lot of 5+1 fics just because I tend to favor short character pieces over everything else, so I can’t personally Confirm or anything. But I support you in this conclusion, friend. (We ought to have a standardized tag for 5+1 fics. I wonder if we do.)

Okay, to be fair, Tyelpë did die, but Sauron wasn’t called the Necromancer for nothing. He stitched Tyelpë back together, reattached his soul, kept him around. He might still be around, his lover’s plaything, if Barad-dûr hadn’t been destroyed...maybe he is, even so.
@prismatic-starstuff
Archivist, could your Beholding powers ever get so powerful as to let you see into other dimensions?
GERARDI mean, you can’t die, obviously, but you can… do other things.
ARCHIVISTI… err…
GERARDYeah, other things. I’m… I’m going to see you later.
ARCHIVISTYou’re sure? You’ve not -

We don't read fanfiction for "properly" plotted stories. We show up for the family bickering.
Thanks for the encouragement guys :) I will probably post almost all of what I’ve written, I’ll just work on transitions and so on to make it a bit less messy. And it’s definitely my goal to finish the fic and hopefully also post it by the end of the year, with the caveat that if some new and exciting health problem flares up again then it will be delayed once again.

Depends on what you think of Hobbit attitudes toward child labor, I guess; there are definitely periods of English history where it wouldn’t be unusual for someone of Sam’s class to start doing serious work at 11-12 years old
yeah that’s true, the other option is that the Shire just has, kind of shitty child labour standards. it’s a plausible interpretation but also kind of an uncomfortable one? I generally don’t think about the aging thing too much tbqh
