Senbeï – Tōistu II

En 2020, Senbeï était sorti des sentiers battus avec son album Tōitsu. Le producteur français n’a pas fini de nous impressionner avec son univers hors du commun réussissant à nous transporter. Et c’est en ce sens qu’il donne une suite à son épopée musicale absolument dantesque.

Sobrement intitulé Tōitsu II, Senbeï reprend là où il s’est arrêté stratégiquement parlant. Avec ces treize nouveaux morceaux en collaboration avec ses fans, le beatmaker continue de nous emporter dans son univers graphique nous menant vers des contrées du Soleil Levant. Impossible de ne pas penser aux univers de Tarantino ou de Takeshi Kitano sur des titres immersifs et percutants comme « We Back » et « Seji » en guise d’ouverture avant de prendre le large avec « My Enemy » et « Ghost Stories » totalement prenants.

Pour ce second volet, Senbeï n’a pas hésité à convier une ribambelle d’invités comme Miscellaneous qui reluit sur « Like The Phoenix » ou encore Swift Guad percutant sur « Débordement ». Bien évidemment, d’autres DJs et/ou producteurs sont de la partie comme DJ NIX’ON qui sort de l’ordinaire avec « Fields » ou encore Degiheugi sur « Jours de Pluie » qui sont la pure définition du best of both worlds. Pour le reste, le beatmaker nous impressionne avec « Teddy Bear » et avec « Earthbound » où son ADN musical se fait ressentir. Un bon sequel en somme.
