If kyojuro and senjuros owner brought someone over, how would they react if the owner spent most of the time complimenting them about how good and polite they are

Kyoujurou

He’s on his best behavior when your guest arrives, kneeling with his back ruler-straight, practically vibrating with excitement at a chance to prove how good and polite he can be. The praise hits hard, though. Kyoujurou truly wasn’t expecting it. He knows logically that you think well of him, but hearing it all out loud, especially in front of someone, feels a lot more serious. It all makes him feel awfully overwhelmed.

Senjurou

Quietly flustered. He sits still, hands in his lap, trying to behave so you’re not embarrassed by him in front of your guest, but the praise is getting to him. You… really mean all of that? Enough to say it in front of someone, and for seemingly no reason other than so that he can hear it?? It’s a lot, and Senjurou ends up nearly sniffling back overwhelmed tears. He’s so, so happy that he’s doing well enough to earn your praise.

Since both Obanai and Mitsuri have both stayed at your home before, what do you think of them? Do you get along with them? Are you cheering them on?

"They do seem to like eachother in a romantic way, I am cheering for them, obanai was raised like a big brother to me and he seems disappointed when my dad yells at me, mitsuri often tells me stories about her missions and family, she taught me western recipes."

I have an idea for pet!AU Kyojuro! What if after staying with his kind owner he tells them about his sweet little brother Senjuro. And one day they come back home with an injured Senjuro in their arms. They found him getting beaten and about to get his neck cut. And they keep and care for the brothers.

Sorry for the rant I just thought it was a neat idea.

• Telling you about his family hurts. Kyoujurou honestly doesn't like to talk about it. That part of his life is behind him, no matter how painful it is to think that he won't see his mother or brother again. Even so, you're his owner. You deserve to know everything about your property, whether he wants to tell you or not. And even after he does, it's just kind of melancholy. Thinking about his family always is, no matter how much he wishes it was different.

• Then, a few weeks later, you come home with another demon. Kyoujurou's first thought is that you've adopted someone new, perhaps a companion for him. But all too quickly, he realizes that the person in your arms is a little too familiar. When it clicks that it's his brother, Kyoujurou's breath almost stops. The coincidence of that is just too much. You can't have sought him out—

• The explanation of how you found Senjurou is heartbreaking, but the fading bruises seem to prove it true. Kyoujurou wants nothing but to grab his baby brother and hold him until nothing can hurt him again, but that's... not what's allowed for demons. Instead, he's openly, outwardly, loudly grateful. He thanks you profusely for being kind enough to take his brother in, forcing a smile onto his face despite feeling on the verge of overwhelmed, maybe-happy tears. He just needs to be properly thankful.

kinda wanna care for kyojuro and senjuro's hair. like wash and brush them and maybe even tie it into a pretty braid or bun.

I didn't know if you wanted Pet Au or not... so I went with canon for once. I hope it's okay! >3>

Kyoujurou

He's delighted to have you help, of course! His hair tends to get tangled easily, and he often doesn't pay enough attention to maintain it. If you're willing to regularly brush his hair (and remind him that he needs to do that, in the first place), Kyoujurou is very appreciative. Not only is it useful, it's a wonderful bonding experience and feels quite pleasant. And if you want to style his hair while you're at it, he won't have any complaints.

Senjurou

He's a little nervous about taking up your time, but as soon as you start brushing his hair, the poor boy melts. Senjurou hasn't had so much physical affection in a long, long time, so he's soaking it up. It makes him too nervous to ask you to do it again, but he absolutely wishes you'd make a routine out of spoiling him like this. As for styling, he doesn't mind too much. So long as you're treating him so kindly, other things really don't matter.

Pet AU. How would Kyojuro react to someone who dutifully adopts him and Senjuro to keep them together, takes good care of them both, but only really acts affectionate with Senjuro? He's too big and intimidating compared to his brother.

• When they’re first adopted, Kyoujurou’s main concern is his brother. No matter what their new owner is like, Kyoujurou himself will be fine. He always has been! Even when humans are rough with him, he can keep on smiling and obeying just as he’s supposed to. Your kindness comes as a relief, even so. Just that you’re willing to keep the two of them together says a lot. Kyoujurou is determined to be as good as possible to make sure that you keep being so nice. Whatever he has to do, he’ll do it!

• Seeing you be sweet with Senjurou brings Kyoujurou no small amount of joy. His younger brother has always been soft and skittish, weaker than himself, and in need of more coddling. And that’s not a bad thing! Senjurou was meant to be a treasured house pet, and you seem intent on making him exactly that. It relaxes Kyoujurou when you’re gentle and affectionate with Senjurou... at least until he realizes how differently he’s treated. 

• It slowly sinks in that you’re not gentle at all with him. Where Senjurou gets coddled and petted and talked to sweetly, Kyoujurou gets direct, simple orders and minimal physical contact. He eventually figures out that it’s because you find him too big and intimidating to get so close to, and that hurts in a way Kyoujurou didn’t know was possible. He does everything possible to be good, so why are you still intimidated by him...? In a way, he’s jealous, but he fights to smother that unwanted feeling and be happy for Senjurou instead of feeling sorry for himself.
