"I thought you said you didn't need to breathe." You ran your hand along Saeran's chest, listening to the low rumble that reverberated every now and again, and sighed. It was a wonderful noise. You figured if you were to lie there long enough, you might doze off sooner than you wanted to.
You couldn't remember how creatures purred in the first place, but you knew what it meant. Just like a cat who found the perfect spot to graze in, he was peaceful... You knew he was happy to be in your arms.
Saeran huffed.
Whether he wanted to admit it or not.
You were happy there, too. What better way to spend the day than to watch the clouds safely tucked away in the coziest shadow? He might not have been able to feel the warmth on his face, but you were more than happy to share yours.
"I have lungs the same as yours," he said plainly.
He was mortal once, after all.
It was easy to forget that fact because he needed blood to survive. It wasn't easy for him to get his hands on it, either. Even though Jumin Han knew someone who could make it easier on him, it wasn't always enough to keep him satisfied. The bloodlust never went away. It was... always there, always creeping around in the back of his throat, but he never made you nervous.
You trusted him.
You knew he wasn't a monster.
"I guess I didn't think about it like that." You nuzzled your face against his throat. "That means... your humanity isn't as lost as you thought it was, then."
The arm he'd woven around your back squeezed you closer. "You're the reason I can remember that."
Would it be okay to use some of the prompts from your Choi twin bday event to draw something inspired by them? Like, not participating in the event (since it's for writing y'know) but just drawing something around their bday based on some of the prompts😳
Ohhhh, yes, absolutely!
I would love to see some art inspired by those prompts. Thank you for asking!!
If you draw something for the twins' birthday based around a prompt (or prompts) from my birthday event, just please link to the event post (here) and/or tag my blog! You can also use the tag #more than art if you'd like (more than words...more than art...listen, I tried, lol).
If you’re posting on instagram or another platform that’s weird about links, just mentioning the event is fine 🥰
Pale skin, white hair, mint-colored eyes. She’d never seen someone so beautiful, even though he was skin and bone. Shy, timid, scared- Yet with underlying intentions. Zaria knew that he wasn’t totally innocent. She was kidnapped here, after all. She had to escape, and nothing was going to stop her. Despite her stone cold heart, she found herself liking this boy that was serving her. As he spoke to her and she explored wherever she was, she realized she couldn’t escape alone- She had to bring him with her. This place wasn’t safe. Ray, you’ll be safe someday.. I will protect you..
Then, he changed. Saeran made an appearance. “What did they do to you?” Zaria had asked, concerned for him. “Don’t touch me, toy!” He had screamed at her, yelling things that she had been told her whole life. No, she thought. They weren’t going to get away with doing this to him. But as the days went on and he became more unstable, so did she. She hated what he did, but how did he pierce her heart as if it were merely a pincushion? They had gotten into an argument, yelling and shouting, until she shoved him out of the room, screaming that she loved him. Love? Love doesn’t save you..
If it didn’t save you, then how did she find herself in a car, Saeran beside her as he took them some place safe, away from Mint Eye. He was different.. Calm, sweet, gentle.. He was going to take care of her. No more would they be there, and no more would he be corrupted. We can do this.
As she looked at him as he slept beside her in their bed, stroking his hair, she realizes how much she loved him. How the hell did this happen? She came from a home where her “Father” screamed at her and her mother all day, believing that love couldn’t stop “all evil” or save them. Yet when she found herself in danger, she had met him and somehow fallen in love in a matter of days. What did you do? How did you do it? How did you take this girl who was so terrified of love and turn her into the loving girl she used to be? She wasn’t completely converted of her cold personality- She’s always been like that. But as she continued to stare at Saeran’s beautiful sleeping face, she realized she didn’t really care. All that mattered right now was the both of them getting better, and starting a life with their new family...
He was gorgeous, talented, funny, kind. Zen was the man of most people’s dreams. How did he fall in love with someone like her? Well, Aurora isn’t really plain at all- Pink hair of sunrise and lovely crystal-colored eyes, a beautiful voice and as talented as Zen.. But her humility and self-esteem got in the way of that. Yet somehow, he fell in love with her. She hadn’t meant to fall in love, or so quickly. After one boy broke her heart, getting involved with Zen was sure to be a bad idea. But they were drawn to each other. It was like they were destined. Silly to say such things, but it felt like it was true. She’d watched him from backstage, so he hadn’t seen her until she showed up on the messenger. That fact in itself didn’t really help her confidence, but his words made all her worries go away. He made her feel loved.
Zen never deserved everything that had happened to him. It was no wonder he ran away, or why he was the way he was. She had to help him through the tough times in his life. And she would. She swore by it. That’s what she did. Through the whole Echo Girl fiasco and a twisted ankle, she was right by his sided, cooking for him and helping him with anything he needed. Then, he came and rescued her, saved her from being kidnapped. She was so scared, and he ran to save her. He loves me.
Aurora giggled as she jumped on Zen’s back, him happily catching her. He loved carrying her, and she loved being carried by him. Honestly, this was one of the times she didn’t care if she was being stared at. She was with him. That’s all that mattered. They were just in a park, surrounded by greenery and flowers, but it felt like a magical forest with him. “Zenny, where are we going?” “Wherever my princess wishes~.” “But I just want to be with you..” “Then I shall stay by your side~.” No matter what.
I don’t want to admit how fucking long that took me. I’ll post the prompts @sensetenou made once I’m on my phone, but I plan on doing it with Be My Princess, Be My Princess 2, and maybe Stardew Valley. Because lord knows there is jack shit for those, especially BMP. (My heart weeps.) This is absolute shit fucking writing and I am so sorry. Maybe I’ll post it to my fanfictions tumblr, too. I’d reblog it with my other account but tumblr isn’t giving it to me right now (I’m gonna lose my mind--). Anyway, I hope you enjoyed! I couldn’t choose between Zen or Saeran LOL. I also used my ocs, and my stories are a little different, but that made it fun for me. Enjoy!
May I affectionately and lovingly call GE Suit a princess perhaps....just maybe......
"You're a pretty princess, you know that?" You cooed, affectionately. Your cheek pressed against his as you let out the strangest sound. It sounded somewhere between a hiccup and a gasp.
It was the very first word that came to mind after you managed to convince Saeran to rest with you. In the past, you would've given him space to breathe. He liked distance because he had been taught to fear kindness. Back then... even if it couldn't last for long, and even if he had a meltdown and stormed off in the middle of the night once he remembered the lingering guards, you were glad for the moments in between.
You wanted to spend time with him without the pretense of the game he played to avoid the savior's wrath. His cruelty, while harsh, wasn't something you were afraid of. You realized long ago that those cruel words... choices... actions... were born of fear. You didn't hate him for it. You couldn't. You just wished you could've been with him without his dread eating away at his peace.
Now, however, you could.
Neither of you had to be afraid.
You didn't have to live on edge, wondering if you performed the scene wrong, and that was a blessing. Your life was no longer a stage play meant to invoke the survival of the fittest. It was a private stage built for two where nobody could be privy to your peace.
"I'm sorry?"
"You heard me," you said.
He huffed. "Clearly. What I don't understand is why you called me a princess. Do I look like a helpless damsel to you?"
"You definitely don't want me to answer that, my sweet," you replied, squeezing your arms around him tighter so he would nuzzle his face against your throat.
"What about me screams pretty princess? Shouldn't you reserve that pet name for someone like Ray? He would eat it up, you know? If it's a fairytale, he'll humor whatever name you call him and bark like a dog. He's already dressed up for you!"
"Ah, but that's where you misunderstand," you said, brushing your lips against the top of his head. "Ray happens to be my prince. You're my pretty princess. The difference is that my kiss saved the frog prince... and my heroics saved the princess from the wicked dragon."
Saeran's grumble didn't sound amused, but he didn't rebuke your careful thought. "Is that the story you've been telling people?"
"Well, no... the princess didn't just let me do all the work. He saved himself, too, but I had a helping hand in helping him realize that the dragon couldn't keep him locked inside the tower forever. He just had to take a chance and climb down... and I'm happy he did."
"Fine," he said, softly. "I'll... be your pretty princess."
I'm thinking...imagine through some miracle Suit falls asleep in your bed at Magenta and sleeps the whole night there and you get to wake up next to him...sleepy disoriented morning Suit....I'm thinking.....and he's hugged you the whole night without realising bc he craves closeness and affection and safety.....I'm thinking....
Saeran came in the dead of night, body sluggish and eyes practically glued shut for once, and you couldn't bring yourself to turn him away. His shoulders quivered with something unspoken, and his flushed yet clammy skin told you all you needed to know. He had no choice.
If he didn't work himself into the ground to sustain the system, the Savior would make him pay for it with his life.
His bravado couldn't hide that from you. You saw right through him, and as much as he hated it, you were the only one who wouldn't rat him out if he was caught red-handed. He couldn't sleep in his office. The guards were waiting for him to slip up. Who wouldn't want to be the first person to punish him after the "terror" he committed on the believers who misbehaved?
You'll either eat or be eaten, he once said; that was the law of the land.
So, you helped him get to bed and propped a chair in front of the door to warn you if someone tried to come inside. The lock was on the outside, after all. He might've had the key, but that didn't mean another person couldn't get it. The system he used to keep others away from you was a detriment, but you knew how to make do with what you had. He didn't seem upset, but he didn't seem enthralled, either. His exhaustion cut deep into his bones.
You hated it for him.
You tucked him into bed and made sure to lie on the opposite side, giving him the space he needed to feel safe. For a while, he seemed alright with that arrangement because you heard his breathing calm down once he understood he didn't have to run anymore. But as the night carried on and you lay awake wondering when someone might come to hunt him down, something... changed. You closed your eyes for a moment, just a moment, and in your next breath, he felt him.
Or rather, you felt his arms.
You snapped to attention as his face made a home for itself against your bosom. You knew he wouldn't do that if he had been awake to understand the gravity of his decision, but at the same time, since Saeran was fast asleep, you didn't want to risk squirming around on the off-chance you would ruin his one chance at resting in what had to have been a week. If he hated it, he would shove you away as soon as he woke up, you thought.
He was cold.
You hadn't realized how cold he was before that moment, but his hands clung desperately to the back of your shirt in what must've been an attempt to get warm. Perhaps, you thought, that was why he'd sought you out in his sleep. He didn't want to be cold. No one would want to be cold if they had the choice, just like no one would choose to overheat. You didn't think of yourself as a warm person... but compared to him, you might've as well been an oven.
All you could do was pull the blanket a little higher and pray he didn't wake up until he was ready. Despite his demands to be seen as a tall, powerful monster, he was small in your arms. You knew better than to say it, much less think it, but as you pulled him closer, you prayed he might let you cradle his head against your heart more often.
I'll protect your dreams.
Eventually, you dozed off.
But hours later, it was Saeran who woke up first. His groggy eyes were as heavy as ever as he tried to bury himself in the source of warmth that blocked out the chill that reminded him of his office. That was why he stumbled out of there to begin with. He hated the damned frigid air that maintained the servers. It made his skin crawl every time he thought about closing his eyes!
"Hgh..."
He didn't want to get up.
He didn't want the warmth to disappear the way it always did when he threw his blanket away. But, just as he moved to wiggle his way deeper into the blanket's embrace, he felt his pillow move. He knew he must've fallen asleep on his bed rather than at his desk, but if he were close enough to the edge to nearly fall off, his pillow should've been crooked rather than sturdy if it could move around.
Whatever... I don't care... I just wanna be warm...
If he fell, he fell, and if he didn't, he didn't.
It'll cushion my fall... not like I'm supposed to be safe when I'm asleep anyway... always the chase, never the capture...
Forever forced to hunt for comfort like a rabbit pursuing a carrot on a string.
"I'm glad you came to me," a hushed voice spoke from somewhere above him, but he couldn't bring himself to react the way he would have on a normal day. His heart wasn't pumping fast enough for his body to respond with fear. His bleary eyes peered up from his pillow to make out a distorted figure that seemed familiar, but his mind had no strength to work out the specifics. "I'll keep you safe this morning. They won't find you."
He didn't need to be saved.
But... he liked the thought of being protected from the guards who were bound to come looking for him when they dropped by to bring him his daily elixir. He didn't want to lose control of himself again. It wouldn't end well for him if he did. He was barely able to keep both of his eyes open these days, and no amount of screaming would ever be enough to make up for it. He was losing his steam. How much longer could he keep up the game?
How much longer could he pretend to be cruel-hearted before his legs caved in?
Against his better instincts, he buried his face in that warm, warm place again and mumbled, "Don't let go..."
Could bunny nurse Ray perhaps give me a massage.....this cold is lowkey killing me and for some reason my back and shoulders are DYING 😭 but bnuy......bnuy nurse......help.......
"Where does it ache?" He asked, fingertips curling into your spine with a nimbleness known only to him. Saeran couldn't ever quite reach where it hurt, not that he didn't try, but for whatever reason, Ray always had a good idea of what to do when you were uncomfortable.
You figured it had a lot to do with his pain, though. He had to learn how to take care of himself overnight. There was nobody around to rub his back or soothe his pain. Even if Saeran wanted to help him, they shared the same body, and that meant there were limits to what they could do to make things better. He once told you that cold showers were the only tool he had to feel better.
His warmth reassured you that he was okay now, though. He was warm, no longer cold, and able to address his pain the way he did yours. With a tender touch and encouragement that made you feel like the bitterest of pain could never destroy your peace.
Ray's hands felt hot against your inflamed skin, but his heat was like a Band-Aid. It wasn't bad. It made the pain disappear within seconds, but you were greedy for more. You knew whenever he stopped, the muscle soreness would dig its way back inside, so you wanted him to spoil you rotten until your mind faded into the warm embrace of the darkness.
"Everywhere," you muttered.
"I'll hop to it, then," he cooed.
Closing your eyes, you felt the silk of his shirt brush against your bare skin. It was enough to make you shiver, but you sighed, indulging in the knowledge that he was wearing something sweet alongside rabbit ears that caressed his cheeks. You didn't have to see him to appreciate the fact that he'd gotten all dressed up to help you feel better. After the hot soup he fed you, you knew you were in good hands. You would welcome a bunny nurse into your bedroom anytime.
His fingers dipped against the small of your back.
"I'd rather you hop on something else," you replied.
There was a quiet pause, and then a gentle kiss against the side of your head. "Once you regain your energy, my sweet, I'll hop on whatever you ask."
How beautiful it was that you lived in a world where he no longer had to fear his deepest imagination?
