Sentry × Silent Hill 2 crossover, anyone? 👀
Got this idea while re-reading Bendis' New Avengers ~ last year I got a rather intense moment of fixation about SH2 as I was watching my fav streamer playing the remake and I fell in love with the game and its story. I think the whole fucked up hallucinations, guilt and obsessions in a mindscape purgatory that doesn't make sense would fit quite well with Bob and the whole Sentry lore.
Robert Reynolds takes James' spot of course, looking for his beloved (but also dead) wife Lindy in the town of Silent Hill. There she meets "the Sentress", a beautiful lady who looks suspiciously like Lindy, but what if she was a superhero? Bob always wanted to be a superhero too. In the town, he's haunted by The Void instead of Pyramid Head, and some of the monsters are dog-like to represent Watchdog, instead of the nurses. Bob would start his quest in a more heroic way, feeling like the Sentry as he takes out the monsters, looking for Lindy, and then slowly descending back into Bob as the story torments him more and more. Scout and Mallory could appear also as the other people trapped in the town by their own traumas.
