Acrylic on wood painting of mine inspired by a photograph taken by @noealzii of Seoul night life. As I’d previously been working a lot with dark colours and monochromatic palettes I wanted to experimented with brighter, more vibrant colours. I also wanted to experiment with the reflection of lights and found the effect/technique I used to do so particularly effective. I also found the silohutte/lack of reflection on the figures with umbrellas emphasize the idea of night time and create a nice contrast to the light and bold colours used in the majority of the painting.
