Big Nintendo Direct 12/9/2025 Thoughts!
One additional point to my "reasons to buy a Switch 2" (which I call the Switchertwo) counter. I... kind of wish there was more points given this is was an hour long Nintendo Direct, but I'm very happy with that one big announcement. Spoilers for the Nintendo Direct ahead of course, so consider watching it first.
Project Zero 2 Remake! Yeah, it's the Project Zero entry that likely needed a remake the least given it already got remade on the Wii but I'm just absolutely thrilled to see more Project Zero. It's one point in favour of purchasing a Switchertwo (sure, I could get it on the Xbox Series X, but I'm trying to more towards only having Nintendo and Evercade systems... saves on money).
Then talking about the other game which is making me want to purchase a Switchertwo (still need three to convince me), Kirby Air Riders introduced new amiibo with interchangeable Warp Stars. So cool! An a easy Birthday/Christmas present option for my nephews and niece whom all love Kirby. Also for me, I'm more than happy to get more Kirby amiibo.
Dynasty Warriors Origins looks kinda cool and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book looks very relaxing; maybe games as it were from what I've seen. It was neat to see Little Nightmares 3 get shown off in the sizzle real as well, but I plan to purchase that on the base Switch as a Christmas present (lucky he won't see this post).
Aside from that... not really much to excite me. Sure, nice to see Raichu get some love Mega Evolution, a new Fire Emblem get announced and Samus looks cool riding on a motorbike, but they don't really appeal to me. It was a longshot hoping for something Dillon's Rolling Western but I at least had some tangible hope for something Panel De Pon related, given it's the series 30th anniversary this year. Sadly not though... unless we get a Panel De Pon 99 or something like that shadow dropped in October.
Anyway, those are my thoughts on the Direct; feel free to share yours and mention your highlights.
