Kirby Air Riders Direct Thoughts!

I may no longer be doing my Reaction based videos for Nintendo Directs but I can always share my thoughts with a Tumblr post... even if I'm little late with this one.

So I went into this Kirby Air Riders Direct rather negative and came out quite positive, so there's a good sign. Sakurai including Kirby characters he had no involvement with is a good sign and just being able to play as other characters is great. It looks visually stunning (I especially like the look of Mount Amberfalls) and new features like the vehicle steal sounds delightfully chaotic.

It is a shame to see the loss of Top Ride. Understandable, but a shame. I'm also left wondering about the local multiplayer. They demonstrated eight Switchertwo's (I prefer the name) connecting up but the only example I recall of split screen was two player. Would be a shame not to have the four player split screen on one device.

The end tease gives me hope for a single player campaign; that would be real cool. I don't have Switchertwo just yet but hey, here's the first point out of three of physical games I need to convince me to get one. So a solid direct indeed.
