There’s something feeling off in the air but Oliver tried his best to shake it off and ignore it. He was on the way back to base but decided to go the long way around to the teleport conduit to see what felt different there. Shiloh walked home from a particularly long day of job searching. She looked around, but there was no one to be found. Sighing, she finally removed her gloves after a long day of hand sweat and explaining herself in lies, so people didn’t think she was weird. There was no way around it really, she was everything her parents and their church hated. It was only after she’d left that she could see the cult for what it truly was.
She stopped, hearing a crunch sound, only to realize that it was a leaf beneath her foot. She picked it up and watched in horror as it did the expected. Slowly the dead composition of the leaf began to lighten until the entire thing was made of a thing sheet of solid gold. ❝You have got to be kidding me.❞
