So, it's time for headcanon and stretch of imagination.

Let's talk about why SerbCro doesn't work (for me):

1) In the canon, their relationship is unambiguously competitive, it 's even difficult for me to call it love/hate, because we don't see the first part at all.

2) Although I do not deny that there could well have been sexual tension between them. Let's look at the situation in the house of the Yugoslavs - you have 8 person living in the house, and there are only 3 women for this company (one of whom is married, the other is difficult to call an adult, and the third one feels like she is trying to be good for everyone without singling someone out), you are both well-built handsome guys, so why not?

3) Competitive relationships can work within the framework of friendship. But not in love. Rivalry in a relationship is an application for loneliness. If the partners in the pair are complementary, it should to arrange, and even to please, that one does not know how to do something, what the partner can do and vice versa. If one is annoyed that a partner can do something better than him, if a life-and-death competition begins, then at the finish of this competition the winner remains alone.

4) These two can and could have such a relationship, but it is short-lived and with a negative outcome.

As history shows, none of them got what they wanted. Serbia has not become the eternal center of Yugoslavia, something that unites the rest.
