IMPORTATN
Chewtle from Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield is just a fusion of Squirtle, Mudkip, and Turtwig. You can not convince me otherwise.
Here’s a picture of Chewtle
Now look at these three
I even started fusing these threes’ sprites to help prove this... but with the limited rotation of ms paint, I tried remaking some parts but I’m no good at pixel art. So I gave up.
Just trust me, it’s a fusion!
Friendly reminder that serebii.net has an Advent Calender event with new puzzles and crosswords every day until December 24th!
Pokemon of the week - Carbink
Well, Carbink. It’s a small fairy rock thing. Well, it’s cute, and has some okay stats. For defense. It really doesn’t strike me as doing very much. I mean, it is cute, and defensive,so it could be used well for that. It just doesn’t draw me that much. But I would use it if I got one in a wonderlocke. :)
I don’t have much to say about it, and neither does serebii.net, but they did manage to come up with some strategy for it. Please follow the link to their site to see what they wrote!
not to throw shade but .... despite how much good info I get out of serebii, I will never get over how bad it looks... it’s like a website straight out of 2007 and if I didn’t know better I would think it hadn’t updated in 10 years
doesn’t even need a big overhaul and a hired web designer, just .... would it kill them to make the font a bit bigger and make a header that isn’t a low-quality .jpg file?
Pokemon of the Week - Dragalge
Dragalge is a very interesting pokemon. It has a really nice typing in poison and dragon. They work good so that it has a much greater defense against fairy types than most dragons. It is interesting as it looks like algae. It’s early form Skrelp is cute. And it does well enough until it can evolve into Dragalge. The brownish type coloring is not my favorite, but the red and pinkish- purplish colors are sufficient to my eye.
It’s got a good size move pool, and the stats to back it up well enough. And Adaptability is a good strong ability for it to have! I used one in my play through of Pokemon Y, and it served me very well through the whole adventure. I would definitely recommend it for use in your teams! Please follow the link and see what the folks at Serebii.net write about using it in competitive play!
Pokemon of the Week - Exeggutor
Exeggutor is an interesting pokemon. I always thought it looked a bit odd, as Exeggcute and once it evolves. And it doesn’t get any less weird with its’ Alolan form. However, I think I really like the Alolan form better. I really like how its’ neck gets so elongated, that it really looks like a big palm/ coconut tree. I like sometimes when pokemon have this really weird or different or exaggerated trait.
As for typing, the grass and psychic is not bad. And it is just powerful enough to hold it’s own most of the times it needs to. The psychic and dragon type is mostly more resistant, just keep it away from ice please! I’m even toying with the idea of a dragon type team, and having this be one of them, just for a kind of oddball. Please follow the link through to serebii.net and see what ideas they have come up with for using each form in competitive play.
Pokemon of the week - Hoopa
Hoopa is a cute little legendary. Apparently quite the prankster, so a good choice to showcase on April fool’s Day! I really like the idea of a Psychic and Ghost type, but it seems like, despite being a legendary, opa’s stats don’t quite make it good. And then there’s the unbound version, which makes it Psychic and Dark, but no longer cute. It seems to be more powerful, and that typing is a bit more effective, but I just don’t care for the big monstrous form.
I really do like the cute little form. It looks like a playful friend you would have fun adventuring with. Then there’s the monstrous persona that comes out sometimes with the Unbound form. I guess that’s an angle. It seems to have a pretty decent move pool. And while the Magician Ability seems tailor made for it, it’s just not the impressive or useful. Still, I wouldn’t mind adding cute little ghost type Hoopa to my ghost type team!
Please go to Serebii.net and see the write up they have provided for using either Hoopa form in competitive play. As usual, they give out plenty of good ideas!
