Dragon Quest AUs
This is just a list with random AUs for either future fanfics or fanarts or maybe to inspire other fandom creators that i thought of
1) Luminerik Tangled AU
I have talked about this one before and anyone who knows me, knows Tangled is my favourite disney princess movie ever
Erik as Flynn Rider cuz they are both chaotic thieves that would die for their significant other
Eleven as Rapunzel, with his Mark and powers maybe being the result of the magic flower
That one scene in the game where Erik and Eleven jumped down a cliff to escape the royal guards reminded me way too much of that scene where Rapunzel and Flynn had to flee from other bandits and the royal guard alike.
2) Medeight Anastasia AU
I don‘t ship a lot of het pairs in DQ but Medea and Eight where just so darn adorable okay?
Now imagine an Anastasia AU for them
Meadea as the lost princess Anastasia
Eight as Dimitri
Yangus as Vlad
Dhoulmagus as Rasputin
King Trode as Anastasia‘s Grand Mother
"Have you heard? There‘s rumour in Castle Trodain“
I could also see this AU work with Eight as Anastasia and Angelo and Yangus as Dimitri and Vlad, trying to bring Eight back to his grandfather Chen Mui or even to Medea in case she is the one looking for her lost best friend.
I guess it could also somewhat work for Jessangelo and Luminerik but i think Medeight simply works the best.
3) Christmas or Winter AUs in General

4) DQ11 Roadtrip AU (Mostly Luminerik and Seremmade)
Imagine Eleven maybe even with Gemma on board, just graduated collage, start packing their stuff into a VW mini Bus and just going on a roadtrip along the country side
meeting and picking up Erik, Jade, Hendrik, Serena, etc. Along the way to join then on their roadtrip
They all are in not so great places in their lives right now, like dead family, break ups or even lost their jobs. And along come Eleven and Gemma and offer them to join them on their trip around the country
Seeing new places, enjoying their freedom, overcoming hardships together
Falling in love while traveling in a tiny mini bus
Staying overnight in tiny motels
There is only ONE bed in the rooms Luminerik and Seremmade have to share.

5) Luminerik Castle in The Sky AU
Laputa: Castle in the sky is my favourite ghibli movie period
Erik as Pazu
Eleven as Sheeta
Erik saw Eleven fall down from the sky abd rescued him.
They find out that eleven is the prince of the flying city laputa
now they need to flee from pirates and the royal army, who are all after Eleven.
Erik and Eleven living together in piece on a little farm in the north after all is said and done.
