He hadn’t been sure he’d liked it, but one of his students had recommended the place and the pastry was actually amazing. “It’s my first time, and I can already tell two weeks are not enough to really get to know all of it.” He turned towards the cashier and payed for the donut and the coffee he’d just handed him before turning back to Max.

Victor sat at the Picasso Museum’s cafeteria, browsing the little map and trying to rest his feet before getting back up, his coffee cup already empty. He’d thought going to all of the museums in one day, on his own, was a good idea, but now that he was at the last one, he was regretting that decision. A text interrupted his train of thought and he looked down at his phone, wondering if it was Ellie. No. I see you. What did that mean, exactly? Was it to be taken literal or was it some kind of metaphor? He wondered as he looked around, his eyes catching the familiar looking brunette and his mouth falling into a familiar wide grin as he stood up and headed for her, trying to keep his head from exploding. “I see you too.”
