You know what's pathetic and cowardly as fuck? Using "the boycott won't even work, the girls are too popular with casual listeners who don't know what's happening" as an excuse for why YOU PERSONALLY won't boycott.
What, you won't boycott because others won't boycott? That's actually really pathetic. You're refusing to take action because you assume beforehand that it won’t succeed, even though the boycott could still have value.
That's defeatism, activist defeatism, apathy, cynicism, fatalism, status quo bias, whatever you wanna call it, at the end, it's pathetic.
Assuming that an action is worthless unless it achieves total success is PATHETIC.
A boycott does not necessarily have to completely destroy a famous company to have an effect. We're doing this to raise awareness, create reputational pressure, reduce ADOR's sales at the margins and influence those dumb money hungry investors.
