Anon about l*sbianslovelouis. I decided not to publish your messages, as they were a bit heated. Nevertheless the issue you address is quite emblematic to understand the Larriedom, so I’m replying anyway. I hope you don’t mind. What you told me is what I heard about this person, and I agree with you. We are talking about a serial tinhatter, and that alone should completely invalidate her, as she’s not someone who was at some point an “objective” observer that started believing in Larry. She clearly has a “predisposition.”
The question is, why do Larries listen to her, and don’t listen to me instead when I bring my arguments to debunk Larry? Because I don’t tell them what they want to hear. This is what being a believer means. Larries want someone to assume the role of the leader and reassure them on their own beliefs at no matter what cost, even beyond all logic. This is why lies and manipulation are acceptable practices. They are so convinced they just want to give the narrative a little push.
All this has a lot to do with fanaticism, a belief system with unconditional followers/worshipers. The leaders tend to switch between authoritarianism and paternalism, giving their followers what they want, but also fulfilling their own personal agendas in the process (in the case of big Larries, the ego trip.) Once they’re in a position of power they’ll do the impossible to keep everyone happy, but mainly themselves. No matter how much they insist that this is about supporting Harry and Louis, it’s not. This is a network of people reassuring each other on their “truth,” and sucking up to one another in a virtual reality. Nothing else matters. Some will be able to break free from the dynamics, mostly because of exhaustion, but many of them, especially the leaders, will stay, as you said, until they find a fresh target to “support.”
