Love/Brotherly Letter Across Time 20

Tails walked into his brother's room and smiled. It was empty but he knew why. Sonic called him one day and told him everything. The fox walked up to the desk but didn't touch it. It was a portal and he could go to and from without any problems. Sonic could do the same. He now owned a castle and moved the workshop in permanently with decoys all over Mobius. Shadow and Amy were busy with their life but they would always ask why Sonic had gone quiet.

He said nothing to them. Things never worked out between Shadow and Sonic and his brother made it clear. His whereabouts would be between them alone. And after a month of silence, no one seems to bother asking him. But he knew and would see his brother. There was a familiar knight from the history books with him. They would walk around as a couple. Holding hands, smiling and just enjoying each other's company. They would spot Tails and wave. He'd wave back. Never bringing attention to the couple.

Seeing his brother being Lancelot and others to their time and just letting them enjoy it was enough for him. Plus, others would ask Shadow why he kept flipping between wearing clothes and not or would ask if he and Sonic were having an affair. No matter what he said, they kept staring at him. The fox couldn't help but enjoy the misery. Sonic cleared it up as best as he could but Lancelot looked too much like Shadow. Bright red versus Maroon Red seemed to be hard for them to find a difference.

He hadn't seen Sonic in a bit but he assumed it was kingly matters. The fox smirked when he got a call from Amy asking if Sonic was home. She planned another double date with him and Lancelot.

“Sorry Amy, but it looks like he and Sonic will be traveling for the foreseeable future,” Tails replied. “Why not travel with Shadow? Claim it's for work.”

“Okay but I really wanted to meet his hubby. He sounds like a romantic guy. Shadow wants to meet him too.”

Tails rolled his eyes, “yeah, to beat him up for traveling so much. I am sorry Ams but this worked the best for their schedule it seems.”

“Yeah. I am glad it worked out. They must be so happy.” Amy cooed. “Oh well, thanks Tails.”

She hung up and Tails laughed.

“Congratulations Sonic. I'll be here to ensure you can always come back,” The fox smiled as he left.

[I tried to write out a what if scenario where Lancelot went to Sonic but I couldn't figure out how to make it work. So! I made it a two way portal. They can come and go between times. It was the only way I could...finagle the outcome. I hope to figure an idea out, especially for the one who wanted to see both outcomes. Hopefully this is good enough for them. At least until I try to figure out how to write their request out.

So I just watched the last episode of blindspot and damn that whole episode got me like wtf in good ways and mixed my feels so much. That ending though. Was not expecting it to be that way but I believe Jane got her happy ending!!! They went through too much for her to just die like that. I appreciate what they were trying to accomplish. I honestly have mixed feelings about it. While I did like a lot of things like for example all the callbacks to many of the characters from the previous episodes, the hallucinations feeling very real but I felt like it was also very rushed..... The one thing I honestly wanted for this season was for them to at least have 22 episodes that way we could have seen it without rushing through the entire plot. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either! So in between. It was still good but just very rushed..

After the news of the relationship is out he’s a little unsure

He wants to be next to you and hold your hand

But he wants to give you space if you need it

And yet he feels like there’s pressure to be lovey and sweet with you in public

You end up having to have a conversation about it to reassure him that you should pick what’s comfortable for both of you

He likes to hold your hand

He always gets a little blushy when he does it but he still will

If you swing your hands back and forth he’ll die from how cute it is

And how cute you are

When you’re moving through a crowd you can feel him grip on your hand tighten

If he even feels like he’s losing you he’ll whip around to make sure you’re still there

He’ll hold your hand at events too

Sometimes he’ll put an arm around your waist

That’s a lot less common

Normally he’s pretty shy and bashful when you’re in public

Little kisses are enough to catch him totally off guard

However if he happens to find you cornered at a party dealing with the unwanted advances of some guy he’ll flip so fast

You’ve never seen someone so intimating in your life

He’s really your knight in shining armor

Around the Guys

I mean

He’s the maknae

And he gets flustered easy

So unless you want to deal with absolutely ruthless teasing you’re gonna have to join in

It’s a matter of survival

He’s normally more reserved around them for that reason

He’ll still make sure he sits next to you on the couch

Or that he hangs out in whatever room you’re in

But he once made the mistake of doing the fake yawn and stretching an arm around your shoulder

He didn’t live that one down for weeks

“Ah look at your little Yugyeom!”

“He’s putting the moves on her!”

“If you want to go any further we’re kicking you out.”

His face was redder than a tomato and he didn’t try anything around them again for a while

Sometimes you’ll grab his hand

And you don’t miss the slight blush that creeps up his cheeks

He always melts when you curl up against him

He thinks it’s the sweetest thing ever

He get more and more used to the teasing over time

And eventually will even leave small kisses on your head even though the rest of the room starts gagging

They think y’all are sweet though so it’s okay

In Private

He really likes when it’s just the two of you and he can cuddle you in peace

He’s initially a little unsure

He doesn’t know how you want to cuddle or if it’ll be too much if he’s all over you

So at first he really gives you your space

You have to convince him that you want him to cuddle up to him

He’s a little shy about it but he’ll often pull your legs across his lap while you relax on the couch

If you fall asleep on him he’ll carry you to bed once his heart recovers from how cute you are

He really loves every second he gets to spend with just you

In bed he’ll normally lay down facing you

Your legs will end up intertwined

And you have hushed conversations with quiet giggles until you drift off to sleep

Some nights you spoon

He just assumes he’s gonna be the big spoon

He secretly loves to be the little spoon he just doesn’t wanna admit it

Plus he loves waking up in your arms

And he can’t deny that your face being the first thing he sees when he wakes up is one of his favourite things it always makes him feel like the day will go well

He loves soft morning cuddles while the sun is streaming through the curtains

Sometimes he swears he’s still dreaming when he wakes up with you

On bad days he gets pretty emotional

You know him well and one word of concern from your lips and he’s breaking down on your arms

You’ll hold him there and rub his back while he cries out his stress and frustration and fear

And when he’s done crying you’ll lay down and talk quietly about it

And he’ll open up about all the things that he’s afraid of

And you’ll reassure him and tell him how much you love him

And once you fall asleep he’ll cry very different tears

Confession

The two of you click pretty well from the first meeting

Pretty soon you’re talking all the time

And not long after that Jeongguk is realizing that he smiles every time he gets a text from you

And your compliments make him blush

And he gets butterflies in his stomach when he’s going to see you

He wants to be cool and chill about it but he can’t deny that you make him nervous

He does want to ask you out

But to takes him awhile to build up the courage and think of a good date idea

He goes back and forth on lots of ideas

And ends up settling on just staying in for a movie date

He invites you over and spends the last half hour before you show up trying to get rid of his nerves

He’s a little worried that you’ll think his idea is lame

But you end up enjoying the evening

You eat pizza and as the movie goes on you cuddle up to him

He melts and has to hold in a squeak from how cute you are

He hopes you can’t hear how fast his heart is beating

He walks you home at the end of the night

Just to make sure you get home safe

“I know that wasn’t the greatest or most exciting date but I hope you would consider going on a second.”

You leave him with a kiss on the cheek and an assurance that you couldn’t wait for the next one

Butterflies

It takes him a good long while to move past his nerves with you

Every time he sees you his stomach erupts with butterflies

He still gains enough courage after a few more dates to ask you to be his

As much as he wants to hide it you can see how nervous he is

You tell him that you very much want him to be your boyfriend and you can see the relief wash over him

He struggles to come up with ideas for dates at times

He can always think of little things he wants to do with you but he doesn’t know if they’re good enough ideas

He likes hanging out and watching movies and talking and sharing music but he doesn’t know if that counts as a date

He would love to take you out and take pictures of you somewhere pretty

Or spend a day running around filming you

But he isn’t sure you’ll say yes to those ideas

So the dates are a lot of going to restaurants and cafes and movie theatres

And you can tell it’s not really him

It’s not until you talk to him about it that you realize he has other ideas

And while you don’t love the idea of your photo being taken all day you agree

He takes the most beautiful pictures of you but even if he didn’t the sweet smile on his face the whole time would make up for it

The Long Run

He gets more comfortable being himself with you

He was very tied up in the idea of a boyfriend and what that role entailed

But slowly you help him to see that there is no preset list of rules

And that the relationship will follow the course and have the rules you want it too

So he doesn’t have to take you to fancy restaurants

Or bring you flowers

Or buy you pretty gifts

And he starts to relax and enjoy the time you spend together doing nothing

You say “I love you” first

He had yet to name the emotion he was feeling

But as soon as he hears those words from your lips he knows

And he replies with it back with a smile on his face

He struggles at first with being vulnerable with you

He wants to be strong for you

And he worries that if he breaks down at some point that he can’t be that

Until he does break down in front of you for the first time

And it makes it worse that he worries you’ll leave him for not being strong enough for you

He slowly starts to learn that strength is a lot more complicated than that

And that in this partnership he’s allowed to need support too

He does alright being away on tour

The others can tell he’s a little down

But he keeps a count down of when he gets to see you again

He also returns with tons of knick knacks and souvenirs because he thought they were funny or cute and that you would like them

The fans find out via a formal announcement so you’re already prepared for the backlash

There’s some support and some really nasty comments

And you both have to remind yourselves not to listen to them

And you get through it

He feels way out of his element when he decides he’s going to marry you

He has no idea how to pick a ring (Taehyung and Seokjin go with him to help him pick one)

He has to remind himself that there isn’t one right way to propose and that if it’s meaningful you’ll love it

He picks a beautiful spot and makes sure there’s a camera (or two) to film it

And it feels like a scene out of a movie when he gets down on one knee

And he fights back his tears as he goes through his speech

And you nearly knock him over with the force of your hug while you yell out a “YES!”

She’s touchy

And she is BOLD

So like while she won’t hold you in public before the fans know

But she will grab your butt when no one’s looking

And when you spin around she’s already got her hands back to herself and and there’s a smirk on her face

When she’s feeling exceptionally bold she’ll surprise you with a kiss

You have no idea how no one has caught pictures of these moments

Once the news does come out she’s always by your side

Often one of you will have an arm around the other

She’ll leave kisses in your cheek or head

Sometimes she’ll pull you right in for a kiss

She loves when it catches you off guard and she sees the blush on your face

When you’re at events she’ll keep you by her side

She’ll either wrap her arm around you or link arms with you

She’ll get a little flustered if you wrap an arm around her unexpectedly and pull her close to you

She’s normally pretty confident but its very sweet when you catch her off guard with affection

She laughs while a blush rises on her cheeks and she’ll playfully hit your arm

She really loves it though

Around the Girls

Hyejin has no shame

She doesn’t care if her members see

The second you come through the door she’s attached to you

She’ll follow you around wherever you go and chat with you

She’s always eager to get you to sit down so she can cuddle with you

She likes having you sit in her lap

She also likes sitting in your lap

She likes the feeling of your arms around her

She snuggle into your lap

If you’re in her lap she’ll hold you tightly

She’ll leave little kisses on your shoulders and the back on your neck

And she’ll whisper little things in your ear to get you to giggle

No one else wants to watch movies with you two anymore because the two of you are laughing the whole time

She loves to kiss you in front of the others

Especially if it makes you frustrated

You don’t mind so much because it makes her laugh

You both catch Wheein pretending to gag on the other side of the room

It’s not totally uncommon for the two of you to makeout on the couch when no one else is around

It also isn’t totally uncommon for you to get a pillow thrown at you with the yell of “Get a room!”

In Private

Hyejin loves being alone with you

No one gets pillows thrown at them

She will be by your side all the time

She’ll follow you around so she can keep the conversation going

If she has to do something she’ll drag you along with her

She just really likes being near you

When she’s tired she hangs off of you

She’ll wrap her arms around you and rest her head on your shoulder

And she’ll mumble things to you as she wakes up slowly

She loves when you get to curl up together at the end of the day

On the couch she’ll lie on top of you with your arms around her and your legs intertwined

She likes to lay her head on your chest so she can hear your heartbeat

It relaxes her after a stressful day

She also loves curling up in bed together

Sometimes you spoon

But most of the time you lay in your back and Hyejin has her head on your chest again

You’ll talk quietly about your days with each other

Here’s where she’ll open up more and more

At times the chats get emotional and go late into the night

But you always end up feeling closer afterwards

On bad days she’ll come through the door with a sigh

She’ll do okay until she she makes eye contact with you and then she starts to sob

You hold her rub her back while she lets everything out

And then you spend the night relaxing and helping her feel better

When you curl up in bed that night she holds you tight and reminds you how much she loves you

Confession

His crush develops on you over time

He becomes friends with you first and from there his feelings start to grow

It takes him a while to figure out what he’s feeling for you

But he does eventually pinpoint that he likes you

He has some worries about asking you out

You’re friends and he doesn’t want to make it weird or awkward between you

But he wants to believe that the way you laugh at all of his jokes and playfully touch him and smile at him all the time means what he thinks it means

It takes a little while of psyching himself up

But he eventually gains the courage to ask you out

He shows up on your doorstep with chocolates and a sweet smile and he’s praying you’re free all afternoon

You would have cancelled all plans though anyway

He takes you to an arcade and is relieved when your face lights up

He was worried you’d see his choice as silly or childish

You spend all day playing games against each other

After so many games you lose track of who’s winning and who’s losing

He takes you to get food after and you end up in your apartment with pizza and a kdrama playing on the TV

And the two of you can barely pay attention to it because you’re too busy cracking jokes and laughing

You both lose track of time and it gets quite late

And it’s pretty obvious there will be a second date to follow

Butterflies

After the first date he’s already thinking about asking you to be his

Not right away

He does want to go on a few more dates first

But he knows the he wants to do it and he wants it to be special

After a month of dates he plans something special

Most of his dates are very sweet

They tend to be more fun and adventurous

And sometimes they’re things you would never do alone

But it feels more possible with Chan

You know something is up because he takes you out to dinner

It’s more formal and he makes it very romantic

And at the end he holds your hand across the table

“Will you be my partner?”

And you can’t hold back the smile on your face

It’s so sweet and you can see through his usual confidence that the nerves are getting to him

He has a lot of fun with you

But he’s also protective of you

He always wants to hold onto you in public but he has to remind himself not to

There will be a time for that but it would only cause drama

He just wants to keep you safe

He’ll get really upset if he catches someone making you seriously uncomfortable

He can be incredibly intimidation when he wants to

And he will be when it concerns your safety

The Long Run

He’s very thoughtful about his first “I love you”

He considers it a big deal

He doesn’t plan a whole date for it

But he makes sure that he’s sitting there in person with you and has your full attention before he tells you

Even though he told himself that it would be fine either way he’s relieved that you feel the same way

He doesn’t say “I love you” all the time

He likes to save those words

But he shows you in different ways

He always makes sure you have everything before you go out

He sends you good morning and goodnight texts everyday without fail

When you need him he’ll do whatever he can for you

You know with him actions speak louder than words

He has difficulty balancing at times

He’s young and can be silly and childish at times

But he knows he’s an adult and wants to be treated as such

And with twelve older members he gets babied enough

He wants to show you he’s mature and sometimes he’s tries a little too hard

But you make sure to give him room to be silly at times

You know that everyone needs to let out their inner child some days

He’s grateful that you like his sillier and his serious date ideas

He does alright with tour

He mostly just worries about you

He hates that you’re all alone without him

He knows you can handle yourself but he wants to be there with you

He texts you with any free moments he has

He sends lots of cute snaps and funny pictures

He just wants to keep you smiling

You’re both very prepared to tell the fans about the relationship

It goes about as well as you could expect

There’s some negativity, but a lot of positivity and you love each other so you don’t let it get to you

During some of your late night chats the topic of marriage starts to pop up

And the more he thinks about it the more he realizes that’s what he wants

He starts slowly planning

He asks any of his married hyungs for advice

He takes your best friend to help him pick out the best ring

And they both see the same one at the same time and know its THE ring

He plans a very formal, romantic date

And it’s so picture perfect you have to wonder

You’re still not prepared when he gets down on one knee and pulls out the ring

He’s only halfway through his speech before you’ve stuck out your left hand and you’re nodding “Yes”
