Nowadays, we see ourselves, family members, friends and colleagues experience stiff neck, possibly due to checking phone for Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, working on a laptop, or watching Youtube or Netflix on your tablet in an abnormal position for long periods. It can also result from stress and anxiety, leading to tension in the neck muscles. In most cases, neck pain and stiffness is caused by a muscle or soft tissue strain, and should go away on its own within a week.However, how an individual manages and cares for their stiff neck symptoms can affect pain levels, recovery time and the likelihood of whether it will return or not. The best way to counter the effects of stiff neck is to minimize them in the first place. Try your best to hold your devices at head-level and keep your spine in a neutral position when looking at any screens. But, when you’re already feeling the pain of poor posture in your body, luckily yoga can help! There are many yoga poses and yoga-inspired positions are helpful to stretch and strengthen the muscles in and around the neck that tend to be either contracted or elongated when we move our necks out of neutral alignment. Try to join our yoga classes and start to practice it to relieve neck pain. Remember, the poses and stretches themselves are just as important as restructuring your posture when you use technical devices. The best way to relieve the pain from tech neck is to simply prevent it, but I believe you can't live without any mobile gadget, do you?
