Local boy falls considerable distance, almost definitely breaks something, immediately minimizes his pain, gets overwhelmed by white ethereal butterflies that  will in a later episode symbolize anxiety and repressed thoughts, immediately minimizes own discomfort again

Oh shit! The crystal gems landing inside White’s ship is a parallel to the episode in season 1 Serious Steven.

It’s also the episode where we saw our first sightings of White Diamond. Nice touch Crewniverse! God Steven has come so far.
