The song played softly in the background as you sat together in the dim light of your favorite cafe.

Seungkwan’s eyes were locked on you, but he wasn’t staring like you were the only one in the room. No. He was just looking at you like he had all the time in the world, as if every moment with you was a treasure.

You two had been through a lot, hadn’t you? The messy days when everything felt like a storm and the quiet nights when it was just the two of you and your hearts speaking without words. Now, you had this — a kind of calm that felt like you were both safe, no matter what happened.

But Seungkwan? He never truly let you forget that he was grateful for every single second.

“I’m glad we’re here,” he said softly, taking a sip of his coffee. “Do you ever think about how long it’s been?”

You looked at him, wondering if he was just reflecting on the time that passed, or if he meant something deeper.

“Long enough to know that the best parts of life are the ones I share with you,” he added, his smile as bright as the sun. But there was something in his eyes — something that told you he had so many feelings, so many words left unsaid.

You had been through your ups and downs, but Seungkwan always had a way of making it feel like the rough patches were just stepping stones to something better. He wasn’t perfect, not by a long shot, but he made you believe in the beauty of what could be.

“I don’t know how I’d have survived this year without you,” he said, voice low now, almost vulnerable. “It’s like… like I’ve been collecting moments with you. Moments that sparkle like diamonds.”

You blinked, surprised by his words, because you didn’t know Seungkwan felt that deeply about the times you shared. But it wasn’t about the grand gestures for him. It was about the quiet moments, the ones where you laughed over something silly or stayed up late talking about everything and nothing.

Seungkwan reached for your hand, his fingers brushing gently over yours.

“You’re my diamond,” he said, a playful grin tugging at his lips, but you could see the sincerity in his eyes. “You’ve always been.”

And in that moment, everything about your life together felt so incredibly precious.

You smiled back, squeezing his hand lightly. “So, what now? Do we get the whole world to see us?”

He chuckled, and for a second, the goofy side of Seungkwan returned.

“I don’t need the world to see us,” he said, tapping his fingers against the table. “I just want you to see us. These moments, this life… they’re enough for me.”

It wasn’t the most extravagant love story.

No grand declarations or sweeping gestures.

But in Seungkwan’s heart, everything you had was a treasure, and he treated it like the rarest of gems.

The kind of love that shined brightest in its simplicity.
