i really hate it when topics about social issues appear when family eat together because it’s really just ignorant takes from Gen X and Baby Boomers while us Millennials and Gen Z just eat in silence while looking at each other hoping for it to end. it’s even worse when they ask your opinion or they say something like “am i right?” and we have to choose our words carefully or frame it in a way, “well, the reason they are doing it is this...” without disagreeing with them or just being “messengers” because it will just end up being a debate if we disagree with them and that’s not a good way to end a family meal
