“A possessed looking little boy; that’s what he said, Salem! I had to check it out!” The crash had made local news by 9pm. A man, on his way home from work, was forced off the road when he spotted a lost little boy, stood in the middle of the road. He veered off so as not to hit said child and got out of the car to make sure they were okay... At least, that’s what the reports all said. What came after was a mixture, but it sound all too possible and all to familiar to the young witch. Glowing eyes, satanic voice, changing shape, vanishing, screeching... If it wasn’t possession of a young child, it was demonic manifestation.
Theo had called it in as his father was called upon to drag the truck the man was in, out of the ditch he had plunged his car into in a bid to escape. Unfortunately, he wasn’t home, leaving this vehicle until the morning. So, naturally - the trouble-seeking, adventure-loving teen made her way to the scene, ready to call forth whatever lured the poor man out of the vehicle, only to lose his mind. Babbling like an outpatient was the phrase used to describe the man, apparently.

“Yes, thank you - I do have everything...” Sabrina tutted loudly and rolled her eyes at her four-legged best friend. For a familiar, he was a little sassy. “Just stay there.” She warned as she drew her chalked circle of protection, ensuring whatever she called forth stayed put. Stood in the centre of the road, not 10 feet from the car wreck, the girl set aside her belongings and cleared her mind. Eyes closed, she began the chant, calling forth the demon (she assumed) that had played such a terrible trick. Though, she found herself unable to reach that final verse; the sound of a heavy vehicle behind her tore her concentration away from the task at hand. Gravel crunched under a shoe or boot...
Crap. Hands dropped to her sides, the wind that had stirred, fell silent again - leaves no longer rustling either side of her. The spell was incomplete. She couldn’t cast it without restarting... And that wasn’t going to happen, given company had arrived.
