The idea that I kept from the last session is that the atmospheric situations that we can create shape the way we perceive everything. I wanted to experiment with my perception of a daily situation. I took a picture of my window view, but before doing it I used different "lenses" to experience different colors on the same view because I wanted to manipulate my own emotions. For creating this "lenses"  I used different objects from my room (also common stuff I always use). Then I add a quick atmospheric musical composition that I created based on the moods resulting from this "lenses" experience. You can also hear the daily sounds and noises from my block.

Session 5: The creative power of Sci-Fi

Guest: Estevan Mykhail Guzman 

Estevan Mykhail Guzman is a 3D animator with a passion for astronomy and Sci-Fi. He currently works at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California exploring scientific communication through film and illustrations. He finds influence in science and space travel for his works as a “space artist” with a goal to inspire scientists and artists alike. In Session 5 Estevan gave an insight on how to discover future scenarios with a sensual and emotional approach through installation, visual and acoustic features.

I was really surprised how wide and important the field of graphical science-fiction thinking is and how close the relationship between art and science is. After this session, with lots of graphical input, I went and searched for more references, where graphic meets science in space. At the End I found a moon-landing map, which showed all the apollo missions since 1969 and each one had its own symbol. Until today they speak the same language and are representative for a dream and a vision. As a last Fast-Transfer-Project, I created a symbol for our voyage we had. According to the importance of the thinking we did and will do, the relationship of art and science.
