your OCs...... tell me more... that is a threat /j
(for real tho your OCs are cool af)
Ahaha... I fear I may be the real threat, because you've unlocked an unskippable cutscene >:]
(/lh!! I very much appreciate it, thank you! :D)
I did a little doodle page of the sillies to celebrate + provide reference images as I yap! These are all of my DnD ocs that have appeared in campaigns, barring Passione, Oregano, N-8, and Occissor (I forgot Pass and didn't wanna draw the other 3)
Upper Left is Sessle Ilum, my very first dnd character! Tabaxi Rogue with the Magical Trickster subclass, she's a thief. Her girlfriend (one bf but that's another story) was an assassin and they met at the thieves guild. She's clever, sneaky, and steals solely for the thrill of the hunt. Her casting focus is the little red crystal necklace.
Middle Top is Emphyrean, my second ever dnd character! They're an air genasi who started as a Cleric then took levels into both Bard and Rogue! Raised in a monastery he left as soon as physically possible to go adventuring. Moving with his party led him to earn enough cash to travel and study music and dance, leading to his Bard-ness, but when the cash ran out he turned to thieving. Friends at the thieves guild taught him how to work jobs, and because of an incident where he burned his fingerprints off + his great acting skills he became a pretty decent thief for hire!
One job led him to being caught by a famous old warlock war general named Ciprian Kensington. Em escaped once, but the second time Kensington did not let them go. Through a series of demands, Kensington took Emphyrean's casting focus as assurance and enlisted Em's help in hunting down magical items. (Kensington is a collector.)
Lucky for Em, he's a huge flirt. And Kensington's young daughter thinks he's cool. So. Uh. Em and Ciprian end up having a workplace romance, falling in love, and marrying. (The oversized coat on his design is actually Kensington's old war jacket!) They also adopt two water genasi (one's around the daughter's age and the other one is like. A year younger than Em. But circumstances called for desperate measures lmao-) and they're all one big happy family with SO many shenanigans.
Top Left is Nash Skafos, 3rd character and my objective favorite! He's a Centaur Light Cleric who worships Helios and Hestia. The tattoo on his chest was given by Helios himself to recognize Nash as a chosen one. Hella low charisma, hella high strength. There's a lot to him so the quick version is: Party Leader by accident. Fell in love with a dwarf artificer who was cursed by Apollo to have a goofy voice anytime the sun hit him. Ended up keeping his entire party alive for years (1.5 irl years). Becomes King of their newly built kingdom, Sanctuary. Killed in combat saving his dwarf husband's life mid-apocalypse. Put to rest is the town cemetery, spirit goes to the realm of heroes. Party realizes they can't do anything without him so they go and trade one of their souls to bring Nash back to life. He wakes up in the mausoleum and breaks out, not recalling his death. Smth smth has to go back out an heed calls as Mystra (goddess of magic) rips the world apart and taunts the party because they're the heroes. Uhhh. Undead trauma. Almost kills himself again by summoning Helios out of sheer desperation to not fail his party any more than he did before (he never failed them) and then! Dramatic letter claiming he's failed!
In the later personal Canon, he rallies the party and charges into battle again. Becomes a God and is given Helios + Hestia's seats. Becomes The Sun God. But much of his party died along the way. So it's just him at the end. The only one to ascend. (His husband is alive tho. Transfers his soil into a warforged body he makes later on. Essentially immortal.) And then the boon I mentioned! He exists in the same direct universe as Sessle and Emphryean, and he's actually Em's Cleric patron!
The last notes: His casting focus is his horseshoes. As a mortal he would use Heat Metal to kick and burn and brand his opponents. As a God his hooves leave burn-marks in his wake. (When he wants them to obv.) He never really wore clothes, though he did have a special saddle for party members to use, and as a God he keeps one of his husband if they go traveling :]. I can never keep his hair/face consistent 😔. Aaaand he was a bit of a foal still when he joined the party but he eventually grew into his muscle!
Bottom Left is Pierce, along with Glory and Tamil. Pierce is a college of whispers Bard and a Shapeshifter. From a young age he could hear ghosts, but his studies as a bard gave him the ability to communicate with them. Whichhh quickly turned into the ability to *bind* them to him. Or that ghosts would bind themselves. Pierce is rather scrawny and weak on his own, his casting focus is the Lyre, but he wants to help the ghosts who seek him out to find closure. Only issue is that these two don't really have quickly-attainable desires. (Mechanics-wise: They share a body loosely like a DID system, though I don't write it like that often because my one ref for it at the time I no longer talk with. When one of them fronts, the body physically changes to whatever form belongs to the host. The host can also change the form, but tbh Glory is only capable of a few alterations and Tamil is bad at it. Whoever is fronting can ALSO force a class-shift. Bard->Wizard for example, every one of them had theur own character sheets unique from one another. )
Pierce met Glory along a traveling road and Glory clung to him instantly. Glory's reason for haunting, as far as he claims, is that death was boring and he wants to party more. He's a Bard, more traditional style, and he's actually the one usually fronting. Pierce is a wanted man, but Glory is no such thing. He bums around looking for jobs to get cash while they lay low. He's prideful, flirty, kinda sleezy, but he's fun.
Pierce met Tamil while visiting an old university academy, though he'd died rather recently. Tamil was in love with a noble-girl and was killed for it, because she was already betrothed. He never got to see her, he begs Pierce to let him see her again, but when Tamil finds her and tells her what happened, she says she can call off the wedding. Bring to light what happened. They could be together. Thisss starts a whole conspiracy which leads to Pierce accidentally fronting mid-conversation with someone and being accused of impersonating Tamil, the beloved of the girl. So he has to flee again, because shapeshifters are the lowest form of being in this setting. Tamil is a Fire Genasi Wizard. Very bookish, very sheepish. Because he is the reason Pierce is wanted, he isn't content to pass on or leave him behind. Besides, he wants to marry that girl. So he's determined to stay.
Smth smth they have a funky polycule happening where Tamil and the girl were already in love, the girl got to meet Pierce (around the same age) and they fell for eachother, and they all kinda ignore Glory who's just 'old' enough to be weird so the girl and him have a very business-like relationship when he fronts 🙏. Pierce just wants to stop having a bounty on his and Tamil's heads so they can rest.
Bottom Middle is Fei Caltor, my Fairy Warlock. I only used him for a one-shot in which he got bit by a rat the same size as him, nearly died to it, and didn't even kill it. He's a scholar traveling around the land trying to find something. His patron offered to give him the magical power to do so, providing him a red sword of magic. When he casts his spells his wings line with red aura and he glows a lil. He... is just very serious. Because he's small he is very deadpan and straightforward to compensate for anyone who might look down on him. He's supposed to be really strong in my personal Canon so just... trust me on that 🙏
Bottom Right is Yarn, my Poppit Rogue! Now technically Yarn is pathfinder but. I'm currently playing him so it's whatever 🫡. Yarn was a doll brought to life by the wish of a child who had nowhere to go. It's purpose is to help guide children until they are strong enough to live on their own. Sometimes it's as little as bringing joy by being like an imaginary friend for a month, and sometimes it's as much as raising a kid from their teens to adulthood. A lot of it's children were left on the street, so it developed rogue habits to help guide the children and make sure they survived. (Yarn takes on the pronouns assigned to it by its current child. Yarn's current son, Thud, considers it his dad, so Yarn uses he/him for now.)
Yarn was nearing the end of its magical life, until the party stumbled across an ancient dragon storyteller. Rukudzo. Our Bard was supposed to make the deal he offers, take the deal, but he didn't?? So now Yarn is an avatar of this dragon. Extended lifespan, ability to read minds, and ability to steal memories. Yarn is also very well-versed in poisons and magic runes. He ALSO once built a huge boat from scratch on the riverside because he didn't feel like swimming. Lmao.
Aaaand that's brief overviews of most of the ones I mentioned before! :] I'm always open to more curiosities/asks but I am thankful for the chance to infodump this much either way!!
Giving my Dnd characters a pkmn partner for funsies:
Sessle (F/Rogue/Tabaxi): Salazzle (Reminds her of Black Flame, her loving gf). Sessle would be a poison trainer frfr.
Emphryean (M/Cleric+Bard/Air Genasi): Archeops. Stumbled across it in a pkmn lab as an Archen and smuggled it out with him. (He swears up and down that he brought in a fossil, but he's a liar lmao). Primarily a flying specialist.
Nash (M/Cleric/Centaur): Macargo + Talonflame (He got both around the same time-) He's a fire specialist, idk what to tell ya.
Ozzy (M/Cleric/Kenku): Drifloon (it wandered up to him one day, and it wouldn't leave him alone, so he caught it). Ghost-type specialist!
Oregano (M/Barbarian+Paladin/Lizardfolk): Falinks (a gift from his mentors!). He's a fighting specialist, but his team has a fee rock/ground types as well.
