There is always one paticular restaurant that I love to patron, none other than Ichiban Sushi. Going there always makes my day better, much better instead.
It is definitely one of the most value for money Japanese chain restaurant in Singapore. It is the most decent price restaurant serving a wide range of good handmade sushi!
They have a wide variety of ala carte dish and set meals too. Set meals ranging from 15.90 to 20.90 and Lunch and Dinner value meals starting from 14.90! The main course comes with chawamushi, salmon sashimi (sometimes it comes with mixed tempura), a bowl of rice, fruits and miso soup in a set. The generous servings can definitely fill up an empty stomach.
They also have their Zosui (porridge or Japanese style risotto) promotion going at $5. All zosui comes with a complimentary ocha and tempura fish cake. A good place to have a high tea.
They have a really wide range if conveyor belt sushi and sashimi. For sushi lovers, it will be good if you get a seat by the conveyor belt as you will be literally spoilt for choices! Sushi prices ranges from $2.10 to $5.50. Not only that, they also have delicious homemade pastry and desserts on the conveyor belt such as mochi, chocolate and mango mousse, coronet and cheesecake.
Salmon Cheese ($2.10) - The burnt cheese taste awesome with the salmon.
Tamago Zensai ($3.90) - The combination of egg, crabstick, cucumber and mayonnaise is very classic.
Tamago Unagi ($5.50) - Enough said, you should try this one out yourself!
I love the coronet so much, it comes in two flavour, vanilla custard and chocolate. Coronet is french bread filled with the custard. The combination of the crispy french bread and the smooth chocolate custard makes the taste linger in your mouth for quite sometime.
Chocolate custard coronet (4 small pieces) ($2.10)
Ichiban Sushi has a comfortable, casual and friendly atmosphere that makes your dining experience a pleasant one
Ichiban Sushi is part of the RE&S Group that has alot more of other restuarants such as Ichiban Boshi, Kuishin-Bo, Kuriya Dining, Men-Ichi Japanese ramen etc
So do check this one out, you will not regret for sure!
This time round, I didnt order the set meal, coz it is very filling, and I love their sushi! it definitely taste different from other sushi outlet. Even so, those main course are good and worth trying too!
Sorry for the blur pictures, as I took those with my iphone camera. I shall use my new bought DSLR for my next food review.
