A piece I made for the end of a DND campaign I was in with a few friends! It was such a blast, and I just wanted to draw out one of the scenes from one of the last session as a final hurrah for it.
In order from left to right, Dedan(the tabaxi) belongs to Cam, Nyroc(the ibex) belongs to @nevermore117, Veron(the aarakocra) belongs to me, Quill(the wolf) belongs to @octoshott, and Setac and Elior(the lizardfolk and elk) belong to @self-aware-mushroom!
27 for Setac, 36 and 42 for Harmony and 44 for Alith
thank you tumblr for finally allowing this ask
Setac:
27 - How does your character normally deal with confrontation?
He tries to remain as calm as possible, but you can sense this air of authority from him. He will try and talk normally to deescalate if he can, especially if he’s on his own. If he’s met with resistance or hostility he will slowly amp it up to match if he has to. He’s aware of how it looks for a big lizardfolk to just start snarling and yelling people so he tries to keep it chill unless he absolutely has to do otherwise.
Harmony:
36 - How does your character behave around people they dislike?
In a word… Badly. She will probably just attempt to ignore you most of the time, if she has to address you it’ll be very minimal, not outright rude or anything but she is not good at hiding her feelings for those she doesn’t like. However it does take a lot for her to dislike you generally. With her brother, she is very sarcastic with him a lot of the time. If you push her a lot when she’s fairly obviously not into you, she might do it to you as well. Generally though Keaton just tends to get that.
42 - Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them?
Yes! The owners of a tavern in her town, a halfling called Gwylan and a fire genasi called Yestu. Her brother Setac became good friends with them originally and they really love him, when he brought Harmony to town after she left home he went straight to them and they took her in and helped her integrate into the town and even get her job at the leather store she has now taken over. They see both siblings as sort of surrogate children, any milestone events you know will be catered by them at their tavern ‘The Shepard’s Flock’. Because of the name of their business, they call the siblings their little lambs. Harmony is very grateful for their kindness and calls them her Aunties.
Alith:
44 - How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it?
Alith tries to be open about her feelings, she frequently tells her friends she loves them. She would never want to say it if it wasn’t true. Though because of how often she might tend to say it, some might think she throws it around a little too much. She’s not been in a relationship yet, but things wouldn’t really change with that. She’d probably be the type of person to keep her SO reminded how much she loves them often.
here. a really good snack for you. *it's a note. it reads:
12 and 31 for Setac. 18 and 14 for Anu. 5 for Canary!
Now I finally know how to do a read more on mobile i don’t have to bother everyone with a block of text lmao
Setac:
12 - In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been?
Quite possibly when the whole group was ready to part ways after finally finishing their journey, but instead of simply separating they then all got on their friends ship and hung out for a little longer. No impending threats. Maybe a little seasickness. But just them, all together.
Little bonus moment of calm, when they all did finally have to part ways and he made his way back to his sisters town ‘alone’. While he is very used to this he would struggle at night to feel safe… However now he has Elior and his bag of tricks friends, things got a lot easier and that first night of bedding down, Elior to one side, maybe a giant goat to the other and a little rat in his lap… It would have been an interesting moment that’s for sure, but thankfully a calm one…
31 - Describe a scenario in which your character feels most comfortable.
Usually around friends, Setac hasn’t really had a comfort place for a while and often find comfort in those around him instead. So times where he can just relax and catch up with friends, maybe just run a few errands together, the world tends to melt away and nothing can bother him as easily. He’ll slowly get better being on his own, but having folks around is always a big help.
Anu:
14 - Does your character remember names or faces easier?
Names for sure. Names are just more information to remember but faces are way more nuanced. Especially when you technically have a big sheet of tinted glass in front of your eyes. Once they’ve known you for a while though it sinks in nicely.
18 - Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?
This is a tough one, originally it would have been ambition because they recognised that in their professor a lot. It was the thing that drove him most in life and it was admirable. But coming to realise that ambition can lead to some uh. Less desirable scenarios when you are so purely driven by it Anu would now admire the wisdom. They kind of always lumped it in with pure intelligence but as a being with Very little experience they are heavily lacking in general wisdom, so any that someone can throw their way is greatly appreciated.
Canary:
5 - On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?
Normal items at first, apartment keys (which has a yellow, duck-like keychain), metro pass (in a kirby carry case), handful of change, sunglasses, a cool rock, loose gum balls, a smoothie punch card (almost full), a pen knife and a box of those little snapping mini firework things?? You throw them at the ground and they go bang. (She uses them to scare Marie)
